Fuck kotaku. It's biased journalism and garbage takes just for the sake of being garbage takes. Seriously the most useless reporting in the industry. And also, fuck Jack. He is a coward and should've had Kyle's back. It wasn't even that bad of a joke.

Got site banned for calling out and even providing evidence that the mods on /r/steamdeck were abusing their power and treating users like shit. It was "harassment."

I just made a new account, and they haven't even realized it yet. I want to do something crazy that highlights how fucked reddit is, just don't know what or how to do so at the moment.

Your religion doesn't belong in politics anyway so get the fuck out

I used to live in Flint. This behavior is hardly surprising

[–] [email protected] 9 points 1 hour ago

"Secretly" lmao

Come on now. Worst kept secret in politics.

What a crock of fucking shit. We all knew this was coming. Once again, this little cockroach has escaped the consequences of his actions, and it surprises nobody at this point. Fuck you Merchan, you traitorous fucking coward..

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 day ago

Yup, it's SO easy to just force them to ban guns. Do you realize just how many MAGA gun nut freaks are eager for just one reason to pull the trigger? Fuck off

Yeah and it's 2024. Any kind of rebellion risks us getting bodied by our high powered military. We have families.

I swear I thought I saw this in a video game. Atomic heart I think? I don't actually remember.

We dont like the two party system. Our democracy is broken. Dont need some smug outsider telling us what we already know. Thanks, though.

Yeah that's true. I was just saying they have a good approach to hype. I was there the first day he did the emoji and it was awesome. It initially had a rough response but after the first major update it's been a very tried and true approach.

Not really sure what the fuck to do at this point. I'm not having any fun at all with this expansion. I just dont see whats "fun" here. I've beaten the base game many, many times. Ive beaten every souls game many, many times, but this shit? Its bad. If this entire expansion is like this, I think im done and i wasted my money. Im incredibly angry right now, and my mind may change, but this is some straight up bullshit.

I usually browse rdx to stay up to date with my favorite things: games, halloween, steam deck, etc. Today, im going to bitch about the fo76 sub, and the steam deck sub. Im so, SO tired of these posts.

Fo76: so many fucking annoying posts of people jacking themselves off and farming karma. "To the level 14 player whos collectron i pillaged" blah blah blah "i didnt know you were only level 14" blah blah blah "i left you 1000 caps as an apology and im glad you could get them" blah blah fucking blah. We all know you're just jerking yourself off and farming karma. Shut the FUCK UP and stop clogging the sub reddit for actual good posts.

And steamdeck? This sub can fuck off to the furthest reaches of hell. I want tips, tricks, game performance reports, steam deck news and tech support. I dont want to see 1000 pictures of people holding their steam deck alongside some phoned in bullshit about how they're LOVING their steam deck! Congrats! You're using the device as intended! Now shut the fuck up! Fuck off! Although, my disdain for that place is in part because of the garbage, power abusing mods, these fucking posts are just karma whoring mind rot in my opinion.

And yes before you ask, i do in fact feel better now that i got that out.

You LOVED playing yours, but HATED the awful battery life.

You LOVED reading segas official catalogue full of game gear games and genesis games, but HATED that there was always that one game gear game you always wanted but could never get (huge props if you remember the catalogue)

You LOVED playing your friends game gear, but HATED that you had to give it back to them because you wanted one yourself and didnt own one.

You LOVED playing all your game gear games, but HATED there was always that one game you couldn't even pass level one on.

You LOVED playing a game on it, got excited when reaching a new level, just to either die or have the game gear die, forcing you to start over completely again, which you HATED.

My suffering: playing Sonic Triple Trouble. The chaos emerald levels with knack were fucking BRUTAL (they made Elden Ring look easy by comparison-at least at my young age). After hours and HOURS I finally got them all, just to get a game over on an easy part of the final level. Pain, nothing but pain.

My most cherished nostalgic memory: sitting on our couch, game gear plugged in, and playing it while soaking in the christmas tree lights, various household holiday lights and decorations, along with the accompanying presents. I cant quite place why that memory has stuck with me. If I had to guess, at the time, I was truly at my happiest. I got to play my game gear and anticipate my presents!

.......I truly long for those days again.

Heres my take: Ruby, her dog, was laying down in front of the basement entrance. Amanda, on the phone and not likely paying attention, enters the room from the "north" room we see in the chair photo. She trips on ruby, ruby out of surprise goes running into the chair at the table, knocking it over, her phone goes flying and in an attempt to recover, she puts her hand out to brace against the wall by the basement door. She misses her mark in the midst of her fall, and winds up shifting all her weight meant for the wall, towards the stairs, sending herself careening downwards. Her forehead hits the piggy bank and she falls again. She starts bleeding badly. She struggles to stand after the fall but manages to do it eventually, and stands at the foot of the stairs before succumbing to the blood loss and lying on the ground.

This is the only way I personally think the accident theory could work. She was high and disoriented as it was, you add traumatic blood loss to the mix and you are going to fall over very quick.

Just got home from work. They just sort of popped up...so I wanted to give others the chance to enjoy the view.

Its rainy, cooler and theres been a constant breeze with mostly an overcast sky. Autumn and Halloween decorations are slowly, slowly starting to pop up on shelves, and there is already a spirit halloween up and running in Gaylord, with one in Petoskey building up and preparing to open in a few weeks. Youtube videos are also starting to pop up, touting "Spooky Season is on it's way", and as we get closer to fall, halloween and autumn themed commercials start to air, and halloween themed events both in real life and videogames start getting detailed and eventually, started. I subscribe to a lesser known Youtuber who calls himself "Tampa Jay". No tricks, no excessive budgets, just a chill dude who loves the season with absolutely no drama, Just Jay giving behind the scenes tours of various "haunts" that will be coming later in the season (he eventually starts filming full on walkthroughs of haunted houses later into the fall). As soon as I see him post his first "spooky season" video, I immediately consider it very early, yet the start, of the official Spooky Season. As luck would have it, he just posted a video or two. So in my eyes, its finally begun. Summer is winding to a close and each day we get closer to the beginning of Autumn. Its coming, and im very excited. Do you consider the spooky season "officially started" in August? If not, when do you consider it "officially" started? Sorry for the long post, i just needed to get that off my chest. I have no idea why i love this time of year so much, or why it makes me feel so good inside. Am i the only one that feels like this, at least on this level? October through December, (huge fan of the holidays too) seem to be the only time im truly happy and at peace. I feel this way about Christmas and Thanksgiving too, but with autumn and halloween, i seem to peak.

Aiming in 3rd person is terrible. The reticule is literally blocked by the mech body and the only way to aim with it (at least without guessing and hoping you have things like the small sentinels targetted) is to try to maneuver things to create a gap between the arm and cockpit. And in cockpit view aiming and moving feels super sluggish. These two things have been around for years and no matter how many times I've reported it, it is ignored by HG. I've tried mods to fix it and they dont....quite function well. I found one that did fix it, it was amazing, but it just crashes the game now. Such a bummer. Anyone else bothered by this? Trying to mine with it in 3rd person is just as bad. These two things are the only reason i never pilot the mech. I know the reticule kind of fixes itself eventually during mining and combat but it still sucks. I just want a persistant, correct over the shoulder view at all times with it tbh. My immersion hates it.

Edit: Clearly the model doesnt matter. My mistake. Anyway...

So far its been running at about 38 fps for me with all settings on high. If 60 fps isnt that big of a deal to you like it isnt for me, I highly recommend it, its very pretty. I'm going to test how it runs with the new water and probably play it on ultra, just to see, depending on how things go on high.

There was some slight slow down during my playtime last night, but it was negligable. Otherwise, it still ran surprisingly well. I specified 500gb because i was under the impression each tier had different performance outputs and didnt want to speak for the other models, so my bad.

I keep dreaming of my old house that I used to live in with my parents back in the early to mid 2000's. It's worth noting that I believe in the paranormal and this house gave me many personal experiences. Every time I dream of it now, the house is always in some sort of disrepair: flooded basement, holes in the floor that lead to the basement, overflowing toilets, etc. But the majority of the times that I remember it's always the hole in the floor leading to the basement that pops up (the basement was the source of my paranormal experiences). Every time, the house layout is just slightly different from before, but the vibe is ALWAYS the same: it's eerie, it's empty, it's creepy and is always very nostalgic I guess? Like, for some reason, I'm always longing to return. Also, whenever I dream of a dead relative, it's always somewhere in this "house", I even dream about my dog in it (he was poisoned by the neighbors). But with my dog, a husky, his markings are totally different from his actual body. He's all white, but it's definitely him.

Technically, it starts early to mid September, but eh. Anyone else getting hyped all over again?

For context: I work security at a Golf/Ski resort. We are told to be "proactive" with noise complaints, and I was trained to give 3 strikes, Strike 1: friendly warning. Strike 2: More serious warning, followed with a noise complaints fee. Strike 3: Escort off the resort.

Back in February, I received a write-up for a customer complaint claiming I beat on his door, told him he was "being a dick," and that I told him to "Shut the fuck up " and that I told him I'd administer a noise complaints fee if he didn't quiet down after designated quiet hours. Apparently he was "so pissed off" he sat in the lobby for 2 hours to "avoid trouble"(on camera apparantly) and then left early due to my actions, and we had to refund his entire stay.

Here's the thing, though: he lied through his teeth because that never happened (at least the way we interacted. They never showed me this video of the guest in the lobby) .

Here's what actually transpired: The front desk called me, and said room 1017 was complaining about noise down the hall. As security, it's my job to handle that stuff. I asked his neighbor to quiet down, politely, and received no issues. However, the guest who complained was actually being much louder. I could hear him blaring music, his kids laughing and yelling, and a bunch of banging coming directly from his room. I was told by my boss to be "proactive" about noise complaints to prevent any complaints from happening and that I should get them under control beforehand. I was told that even if there were no complaints, if I heard noise like this, I was to issue a strike. So I did just that. I gently knocked on his door. He asked what the issue was and extended his hand to me (I shook it). I politely informed him of our noise policy; I didn't even issue him a strike. All I said was that it was after quiet hours, and then I kindly asked him to quiet down. I told him I didn't want to ruin his stay, and that while no complaints for him existed, I wanted to avoid any potential issues, and then I politely told him about our 3 strike process, and made it clear that he wasn't getting one, but that I would have to if he got a complaint later. He said, "Ok, ok, sir, I don't want any trouble. I'll make sure to quiet down." I smiled and said it was all good and that I wanted him to enjoy his stay. Then he closed his door, and I left. That was the extent of things.

So during the write up my boss told me they had no camera footage or witnesses to this event, but he "did some research" and apparently I brag about being aggressive to guests to other employees, and that the guest waiting in the lobby and leaving early was an "extreme reaction". He also told me, "we have NEVER done noise complaint fees."

He asked if I remembered that night. I crossed my arms and focused on his filing cabinet to think, and apparently, he "felt threatened" (???) by that, which he said was more proof I was lying and that I was "unusually aggressive." It devolved into an argument. I browsed the SoP book (security officer protocols) a few weeks later and it said, right there in the book we are told to follow, that we DO give out noise complaints fees, and I pointed that out to both my bosses and was told they'll "change it". It was, however, never changed and is still there to this day.

Fast forward, and I go from working 3 shifts a week to 2 to 1 to none for a whole month. I only recently started working again after asking if I was going to be scheduled. Plus, I specifically asked the day of the write-up if I could use my personal car to patrol. I was told yes. I've seen other officers do it, my managers do it, even the owner said it was OK. For 4 months, I was using my car with no issue. It's hard to miss, I'm in uniform, people know it's me driving, yet suddenly, tonight, my boss told me he "had no idea" I was using my car all this time, and that it "wasn't allowed". I told him even the owner said I could, and that all we needed were magnets to slap on our cars, which I called my manager for, and he mysteriously didn't remember the conversation. Am I being singled out here? I'm always the last to know of any changes as well.

I've had nothing but issues with it. I got it to work once, and now it simply refuses to work ever again. It just crashes immediately. What the hell am I doing wrong?
