Not likely due to many of their facilities becoming privatised under Turkish companies and America creating a foothold in Syria beyond the oil fields

It'll take Iran entering a war with turkey for Syria to even consider risking it, not even considering if the elites even want to betray the west when they profit from it

Isn't that basically what is occurring

[-] Moidialectica@hexbear.net 39 points 1 month ago

Wouldn't oil corporations be against this? I'm sure there are more profitable markets than to just sell and use domestically

America must've invented teleportation because as far as I know they evacuated the exact bases they even needed to stage an invasion in the gulf

Ha

I expected something bad, all I got was something to stir-fry

These "good guys" want to induce chaos and create gaps to insert insurgents

Destroying police stations is the goal, schools and hospitals are a plus

I'm just hoping citizens can organise into autonomous communes even if they are no longer connected to Teharan

"Dozens" is also incorrect by a factor of 12, it would have to be Dozen Dozens to get the correct amount of destruction it caused

Wouldn't they hold it either way?

If someone said that without content, I would just assume they're a bit too into news, or are a conservative, but I can't understand comparing it to El Salvador and saying Venezuela is worse, because the economy is bad (and I assume they think this because they assume they are plundering Venezuela, but sell to who? they're sanctioned remember?)

I guess they still have a tick in their minds regarding trusting US media, they don't support the war but they're obviously not going to condemn the news that comes out, "it's just incorrect, but it's not intentional propaganda messaging", that's the only reason I can think of on why they wouldn't discard the conceptions about Venezuela, I can forgive the misconceptions of Russia, but even that he managed to bastardize that.

Putin is apparently worse than Netanyahu, this alludes my mind, and he claims it is better to throw more lives to ukraine otherwise russofication would take place (not that I would defend that even here, I am not perfectly aware of whats happening and I wouldnt put russia beneath it considering their neoliberalism) Would a court not be held if Russia was committing a genocide? Did Israel not lose the case despite having American support? How come none of this happened, even in a sham court, when it was Europe and America against a Russia they demonized for years?

This is the average American progressive, fuck me, what even can you do to make them think otherwise of what the news say? Lies being exposed week after week doesn't work, and these people obviously wouldn't read even if you made a summary of what you have read

Despite the seemingly large percentage of AT LEAST progressives who view Lenin favourably, how come there isnt any popular revolutionary fiction?

I'm largely just looking for how they worked though, but an explanatory one that does both would be nice, yes.

Like, having under 12k dollar wage per year, decreasing every year for 4 years, and they're denying even a talk about welfare and getting stuff from food banks to help themselves despite living 'wage to wage' by their own words with only '10$ left over'

It's been 4 years and they're just searching for affirmation that they will make it out of this 'wage to wage phase' like 4 years isn't enough, I don't understand

my points about ai get ignored despite my actual programming (also with AI) experience, do they think I'm coping with cognitive dissonance or something?

48

Something to make people think about it while they try to solve the cognitive dissonance, or to Atleast make them view it more than a simple totalitarian state where everything was bad and even the grass was white

Yorke was asked whether he would play in Israel with Radiohead again. “Absolutely not,” he replied. “I wouldn’t want to be 5,000 miles anywhere near the Netanyahu regime but Jonny has roots there. So I get it.”

As long as someone has german roots it's ok to have concerts in nazi germany

“I would also politely disagree with Thom,” Greenwood responded. “I would argue that the government is more likely to use a boycott and say, ‘Everyone hates us – we should do exactly what we want.’ Which is far more dangerous.”

“It’s nuts,” he added. “The only thing that I’m ashamed of is that I’ve dragged Thom and the others into this mess – but I’m not ashamed of working with Arab and Jewish musicians. I can’t apologise for that.”

They already do whatever they want, you're complicit if you keep visiting, and you're not barred from playing with Arabs and Jewish people elsewhere, what a way to twist the narrative
