"Came out" as enbie to a friend (I'm pretty masc) and they came off dismissive and skeptical. I probably won't change my name or pronouns but it still felt bad.
Then a few months later they referenced it in like a sarcastic way. That's all pretty shitty of them right? It definitely feels shitty and like I'm not safe to talk about that stuff without being ridiculed.

I'm sorry that happened. That's really tough, especially coming from a friend.
I run a trail that goes by a nesting platform for osprey. When I run under it, one of the parents will take off and do this little show of threatening me. The nest is really high up and the birds don't actually get close to me, but they kinda try to make it look like they're coming my direction and screech. It's pretty cool.
The last month or so I've been able to see their kids up on the platform. 5 days ago I stopped seeing anything, so I figured they'd migrated a little early. But I did some research and it said the father will stay behind for a few weeks to help teach the juveniles to hunt.
When I went out today I looked down by the water(the platform is on a hill by a river), I saw the 3 of them on a dead tree hanging over the river.
It was beautiful, it made me kinda of wistful that I won't be seeing them anymore.

Today on hellsite people were cancelling the RCBG author. I'm not even a reader and sometimes find her posting obnoxious, but what struck me about this instance is that two users (who I follow for funny posts) pointed out that she had a blind spot about various medical things, which is not a bad observation on its own. What is bad is that instead of being like "she has to learn the stuff" the pair of them basically concluded that she was #problematic and cancelled for this action because of her tone, chat.
I dunno, there's something wrong with that webzone, that it incentivises people trying to kill eachother over who is being snarky today or who said a bad thing once. There's no camraderie, only the senseless violence of orphaned baby elephants as Torrey Peters wrote about.

I'm not trying to own you or be an ass. It's cool seeing a side to people you don't expect. Unfortunately society puts a lot into value judgements based on perceived appearance, and it's good to question why those assumptions are made.
