In my experience 99% of the time people feel just as apprehensive as you and don't really care. Now, if the entire point of the meeting is to introduce a team, please, just fucking cooperate. I've worked with too many people who refuse to participate on the meetings, and they make workflows so unnecessarily obstructive. I want to finish my task and go home as well, just pay attention to the communication tools, I don't care how much of a mystery you like to portray yourself as. Specially if our work depends on each other's coordination.
