mfs will imagine up shit like "K-shaped economy" before doing any sort of class analysis

[-] red_giant@hexbear.net 14 points 4 hours ago

huh the rich are getting richer but the poor are getting poorer what a historical anomaly that r > g if only someone would write a book about this

[-] Belly_Beanis@hexbear.net 9 points 3 hours ago

It's like there's this weird shape in the area of the rich graph that can fit the area of the poor graph ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿค”

my eyebrows show how confusing this all is

incredible screenshot

The author seems to use the "Make It Make Sense" as a recurring bit. Just rehashing the same stuff over and over too. Must be nice to get that salary for making pathetic propaganda for the ruling class.

make it make sense

this phrase irks me so fucking badly. what a fecklessly liberal thing to say.

[-] red_giant@hexbear.net 7 points 2 hours ago

make it make sense without disqualifying any of my core beliefs

[-] corgiwithalaptop@hexbear.net 4 points 4 hours ago

I hate that phrase too.

The revolutionary optimistic way to look at it is as a genuine question that we can answer

If a lib asks, we answer and maybe we make a new comrade

[-] NephewAlphaBravo@hexbear.net 15 points 5 hours ago

"make it make sense in a way that doesn't trigger a defense reaction from my ideology"

[-] theoryenjoyer@hexbear.net 10 points 4 hours ago

If genuinely trying to do this seriously tho, the best approach is usually a dialectical one, you do your best to account for both their ideology and material conditions to figure out if they have the right incentives to be a comrade or not and then if they are make a good faith effort to meet them where they are to radicalize best you can.

If they're just trolling, drop a PPB and move on

Whatever you want it to be sugar ;)

[-] theoryenjoyer@hexbear.net 6 points 4 hours ago

Sick, revolutionary Marxism-Leninism then, we can talk theory over our preferred vices

[-] microfiche@hexbear.net 4 points 5 hours ago

To a point. This Reddit phrase is thrown around far too often for people seeking an actual answer.

[-] theoryenjoyer@hexbear.net 5 points 4 hours ago

For sure, but the person asking isn't the only one who will see it online, still a vector to radicalize

[-] microfiche@hexbear.net 4 points 4 hours ago

Sometimes they really are the only one who sees it. Radicalization via an internet comment is greatly over exaggerated here in this echo chamber.

Not everything is a teaching moment.

[-] theoryenjoyer@hexbear.net 3 points 3 hours ago

That's true and fair, but also if you stop looking for opportunities you stop finding them

I mostly try to radicalize in person, I don't use much social media outside of this anymore tbh, but the overall approach is the same irl or online

"fear and greed index" is a bit, right? right???

[-] Robert_Kennedy_Jr@hexbear.net 8 points 5 hours ago

That's the only emotions they experience depending on whether stonk is going up or down.
