Columbus was a fraud, until his death in early 1500s.

His titles, riches, power, etc at the time were directly tied to his having found a shortcut to The Indies. He stood to pay major penalties for being wrong. Instead, he insisted that it was in fact everyone else who can't read a map, and not him.

Of course members of this administration would consider him a hero.

Old school, broadcaster style parapolitical research guy from the 90s and earlier. Still active today. I got turned on to him some time back, and have been giving another listen to Emory/Nip Tuck on the Iran-Contra scandal. It's voluminous. Emory is pretty voluminous generally.

Lots of stuff about the Bush family, Iran-Contra, the CIA and drugs. He still produces content but I haven't listened to much of the new stuff. His old stuff is all pulled from published sources, books, newspapers, etc.

I'm not doing him justice with my description, but I surely can't be the only one here to have heard of him, at least amongst the older Chapos here.

I told her "Maggie you're not using the chair the right way!"

She's been whipping her tail and growling occasionally, very low. If I try to help her get up she growls a bit more and digs her back claws in which reminds me that I haven't trimmed them in too long apparently.

I'm sick, so I'm stumbling around my house open mouthed and gasping for air and sucked down a goddamned mosquito.

It's fucking January in the northern hemisphere. Mosquitoes should be a non-starter. Instead I'm sick, the earth is shitting the bed, and I just inhaled a fucking mosquito.

ETA I had a piece of mosquito stuck between my gap teeth. Life is no longer worth living.
