I appreciate you guys so much! I never expected to keep your attention for so long. 😁

I've gotten to learn so much and do some pretty amazing things thanks to you all coming to hang and talk about these superb birds every day.

[-] desmosthenes@lemmy.world 8 points 4 days ago

ahhh you got me - this is exactly what I posted looking for

!dull_mens_club@lemmy.world

The most wholesome and non-toxic men's space I have ever found.

[-] OfCourseNot@fedia.io 5 points 4 days ago

Unnecessarily gendered, imo.

[-] nomy@lemmy.zip 11 points 4 days ago

Non-male identifying people post there as well, I don't recall it ever being an issue.

We're all just hanging out, reorganizing closets and moving dirt around, it's pretty dull.

[-] HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 5 points 3 days ago

You have dirt? Coooool

[-] OfCourseNot@fedia.io 2 points 3 days ago

Yes, I know. I still think making it about gender in the comm name is unnecessary.

[-] HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 5 points 3 days ago

Everyone is welcome in the dull men's club so long as they are dull enough. It's existential.

[-] Grail@multiverse.soulism.net 5 points 3 days ago
[-] OfCourseNot@fedia.io 2 points 3 days ago

That one has a better name. Unfortunately it appears much less often in my feed than the other one.

!lemmyshitpost@lemmy.world

mostly a quality shitposting community, but, sometimes, just a nice community.

really. just some nice people with a fucked up sense of humor. so weird.

[-] Tempus_Fugit@lemmy.world 22 points 4 days ago

!birding@lemmy.world is where I spend most of my time. I stay active and many others do too.

I still don't understand what that community is. I've seen it for years.

[-] NOT_RICK@lemmy.world 13 points 4 days ago

It’s just a meme shitposting page with a light trans focus. I’ve learned a decent bit about trans people/issues just from chatting with people over there.

The convention when posting is to work the word “rule” into the title as the rule of the community is you must post before leaving (which is itself just a joke).

!90smusic@lemmy.world is my pet community. Basically an oldies station for Millennials.

[-] desmosthenes@lemmy.world 4 points 4 days ago

reliving those krock 92.3 days

[-] ptz@dubvee.org 4 points 4 days ago

I was surprised that so many songs in my collection weren't actually supposed to start out "schhhhhhhh K-Rock (k-rock)" lol

[-] umbraroze@slrpnk.net 5 points 3 days ago

I have no idea how my brain chemistry works, but sometimes when I'm depressed and I go to !historyartifacts@piefed.social and it seems to help a bit. It's just neat stuff I guess.

[-] zabadoh@ani.social 9 points 4 days ago

!anime@ani.social

Great mod, with a constant stream of discussion!

[-] Landless2029@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

I got super annoyed by lightnovels over there because it's Japanese only and I mentioned in a comment a Korean novel. A mod rightly called me out.

It was clearly against the rules but that's annoying. I don't event track if a novel is Korean or Japanese since they're all translated. (Names are hard to remember so I just switch it to MC in my brain)

[-] zabadoh@ani.social 2 points 1 day ago

I can't speak of other /c's on the instance, since I hardly ever venture out of !anime

But different /c's, so different mods and people...

!micromobility@lemmy.world but I'll admit, I am a little biased because I am a mod and regular contributor.
