Fuck Robert Kraft. He's just another elitist Zionist that has no problem with sex traffickers or treating us "goyim" like cattle. I hope the Patriots get their shit pushed in.

These fuckwits could hold a gun to my head and I'm still not intimidated. Now we just need the liberals and Zionists out and I'll gladly vote for the lefty that replaces them.

A lot is Aldi and some is Save A Lot. I find Aldi meat to be kinda crap, but our local SAL has decent local meat for a good value along with some produce.

TBH, olive oil is my food lube of choice, but there are quite a few applications where Imperial can get me 80% of the way to butter and it's only a minor ingredient. No doubt butter is better and I stock that too, but for $1.24 for 4 sticks, you can't go wrong IMO.

[-] Tempus_Fugit@lemmy.world 3 points 3 days ago

Yeah, this is as cheap as I've seen in a long time and is only a weekly special. I do see them regularly at Aldi in the 50 cent range though. Still a steal of a deal and I'll be back later in the week.

Yeah, local store is on it.

I feel for their workers. They're always so pleasant despite all the hats they wear.

[-] Tempus_Fugit@lemmy.world 16 points 3 days ago

Yeah, definitely no ethical consumption under capitalism. At least they're not price gouging to the extent most of the others are. Being anti-labor is scummy. Their meat is garbo and overpriced though.

I'm lazy and just microwave them for a few minutes in milk. Quick, easy, cheap, healthy, and filling. Oats are underrated. And it doesn't take much to make them taste awesome.

Not pictured are a dozen eggs and a 5lb sack of spuds under the cilantro.

I'm to that age where I take great joy in comparative shopping. I'm sure I could have saved a few more bucks if I had shopped around a bit more, but this wasn't bad.

Total was $66.64.

Some highlights I think are great value

$1.99/lb chicken breast $0.33 per avocado $2.99 per Red Baron pizza $0.79 per can of tuna

I see many in here are willing to capitulate to their corporate masters. I don't think that's a good idea personally, but that's supposedly our right. I won't be voting for any liberals or Zionists in the near future. It's up to them to persuade me and fear isn't going to cut it.

The options are to get crushed by an open fascist whose lies I can see through like glass, or get crushed by the closet fascists that promises the world and delivers only shit. I'd feel gross voting for either, but I hate being taken for a ride.

Sternly worded letters.

All of these photos are from the same day. I took the camera and a kayak and went birding. I think I found four or five different herons paddling up and down the river. I snapped some cormorants, pied-billed grebes, belted kingfishers, geese, and painted turtles.

These are old photos that were a little soft so I never shared them. I cleaned them up a bit and they're alright now.

I'm new to photography and editing. I'm looking for advice on if this is a decent edit or should I have approached it differently? Most photos I see have more contrast, but if I push my blacks down anymore I'm afraid they'll get crushed too much. Some already are with the current exposure. I don't hate this edit personally, but I'd like it to look more "professional." Any editing advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

These are old but I never uploaded them because I had better shots up at the time. I miss my junco friends, so I'll upload them now.

I re-edited these ones in darktable.

This little guy was grooming after a snack and I was lucky enough to snap a few shots.

I also found a tailless eastern grey.

One of my favorite bird calls. It always makes me think of early summer. I wasn't going to upload this one the light was bad and I couldn't get close, but I never found another opportunity.

Cormorants have such beautiful eyes. This is on a river that bisects my town. All year you'd walk by and see cormorants posted here. This was by far their favorite spot.

This is one of my first bird shots with my E-M1 and 75-300mm lens. It's shit, ha. I still wanted to share it though.
