If that kept going I'm sure it would go "WHO HURT YOU? HELP IS AVAILABLE BUDDY" smuglord

[-] [email protected] 32 points 2 years ago

Maybe throw a "touch grass" in for good measure.

[-] [email protected] 22 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago)

Seriously lol

"You can drop the debate bro persona" says the liberal throwing messages at an inbox like a man sending angry texts to a woman who rejected him

Just admit you got irrefutably owned in the open so hard you turned to privately harassing people

Loser

Bro didn't even condemn Hamas! Not once in any of those DMs!

[-] [email protected] 45 points 2 years ago

Love when people don't get the hint that a)I don't like them and b) I do not wish to continue the conversation

It's creepy when libs

Their debate tactics mainly revolve around alternating between calling people a fascist, zionist or debate bro. They're not sending their best, folks.

[-] [email protected] 37 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago)

I've honestly thought about just being like "Yeah i'm a huge fan of Hamas" if i ever end up in a argument with one of these guys. Honestly, it's not like there'd be any consequences worth noting

[-] [email protected] 20 points 2 years ago

You might make one of them lose a monocle

[-] [email protected] 35 points 2 years ago

I tried to warn you all about the creepy-crawlies of DMs, but no one listened.

I mean I was one of the people that got harrassed by homophobic DMs when the site first started. I've only ever used DMs to check if someone is fine, continue a long comment thread privately instead of having a 50 comment deep public chat, and to contact the original developer about site bugs. (Though I don't think they are around anymore). I don't even understand why people would DM randoms on hexbear lol. Especially to debate? Weirdo behaviour.

I've DM'd someone once to ask something I didn't want to put into hextube chat.

[-] [email protected] 16 points 2 years ago

I've only had two for the past three years I've been on this site. I must not be posting hard enough.

[-] [email protected] 16 points 2 years ago

Every time I log into this site my DMs is the equivalent to lifting up a large rock on a summer's day.

Sure you said that then, Cassandra, but why should we believe you now?

@[email protected]

I am going to argue that this narrative is nonsense. It tries to pass off as universal and eternal something that in reality is particular and ephemeral. In short: Westerners aren’t helpless innocents whose minds are injected with atrocity propaganda, science fiction-style; they’re generally smug bourgeois proletarians who intelligently seek out as much racist propaganda as they can get their hands on. This is because it fundamentally makes them feel better about who they are and how they live. The psychic and material costs are rationally worth the benefits. [...]

Let us look at a specific example. A claim like “There’s cultural genocide of Uyghurs in Xinjiang” is simply unreal to most Westerners, close to pure gibberish. The words really refer to existing entities and geographies, but Westerners aren’t familiar with them. The actual content of the utterance as it spills out is no more complex or nuanced than “China Bad,” and the elementary mistakes people make when they write out statements of “solidarity” make that much clear. This is not a complaint that these people have not studied China enough — there’s no reason to expect them to study China, and retrospectively I think to some extent it was a mistake to personally have spent so much time trying to teach them. It’s instead an acknowledgment that they are eagerly wielding the accusation like a club, that they are in reality unconcerned with its truth-content, because it serves a social purpose.

@[email protected] is a pathetic troll, just your typical pol brained shit-flinger without an ounce of integrity or political coherence

And if they're a paid propagandist they're a cheap one, literally asserted checking sources critically was "nazism", absolute bottom barrel dipshittery

The trick is to instantly recognize these scumbags and immediately clown them, cause whether they're paid or not they're all highly insecure people who measure their self-worth by an imagined proximity and loyalty to power

Im so glad I'm banned on *.ee

Debate perverts everywhere

[-] [email protected] 28 points 2 years ago

Clearly my posting powers are inferior, for I have never once received a creepy DM from any liberals before

[-] [email protected] 19 points 2 years ago

That anarchost person just dm'ed everyone they interacted with on that thread I'm pretty sure. I think maybe they switched to dm's after realizing their arguments weren't working because people weren't buying what they were selling

[-] [email protected] 28 points 2 years ago

Jesus, I hope that poster is getting paid

[-] [email protected] 27 points 2 years ago

lol that loser tried that with me to

Textbook example of bad faith

That was one of the more interesting specimens I've seen try to shill anticommunism in awhile.

Rule 2: If your source is a reactionary website, please use archive.is instead of linking directly.

Rule 3: No sectarianism.

Rule 4: TERF/SWERFs Not Welcome

Rule 5: No ableism of any kind (that includes stuff like libt*rd)

Rule 6: Do not post fellow hexbears.
