And to underline what he said, he posted an ai generated picture. The tech bro post is complete

Is it really though? It feels off to me too but we have no proof

Laptop doesn't have a trackpad, also her foot is fucked up

[-] [email protected] 13 points 2 weeks ago

Swoopy wine glass is the hip new trend.

[-] [email protected] 10 points 2 weeks ago

Look at the guy's hand that's holding the glass.

[-] [email protected] 7 points 2 weeks ago

Hmm true.

Btw: does anyone know if they've invented a way of guaranteeing (not) AI yet? It's getting harder and I can see this becoming a pressing issue, especially in journalism.

[-] [email protected] 6 points 2 weeks ago

No, and there never will be a way. Once you create a system to detect AI generation, models are trained against it until they pass most of the time. You can create something that works temporarily but it's only a matter of time until it stops.

[-] [email protected] 5 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

Probably wise to just exercise a healthy amount of doubt and assume everything is AI generated until proven otherwise.

[-] [email protected] 1 points 1 week ago

Also he's smelling the glass and it's not wine.

[-] [email protected] 8 points 2 weeks ago

Just the arrangement of the people and furniture screams AI. You don't even need to zoom in.

[-] [email protected] 145 points 2 weeks ago

the good old "how dare you desire for your life to be better when there's people who's lives are worse!"

[-] [email protected] 57 points 2 weeks ago

The go-to "you aren't allowed to complain" that I heard was "well there are children starving in Africa"

[-] [email protected] 8 points 2 weeks ago

We don't compare trauma. This isn't a competition.

[-] [email protected] 2 points 1 week ago

The trauma of hearing some weak ass reason of having to eat my peas? Lol

[-] [email protected] 5 points 2 weeks ago

There was a liberating moment when I learned that just feeling awful was not an effective way to stop wars.

[-] [email protected] 3 points 1 week ago

"indeed there are, mother. that's why i won't eat this food and will instead put it in an insulated box and ship it to them, so they can enjoy it."

[-] [email protected] 1 points 1 week ago

Same in the 80s. We made pretty songs like "We are the world" and sent fucktons of rice to Africa that rot because dictators wanted to keep it. Fun times.

[-] [email protected] 19 points 2 weeks ago

If I hear that, I show the stupidity by doing the opposite:

How can you be happy? There are people getting married today, they are much happier!

.Yeah yeah, not all who marry are happy, you get the point

I didn't check the community before entering but immediately figured it must be LinkedIn lunatics. Holy shit the disconnect from reality is incredible, I'd like to see how well Juan can write business tips or whatever this is while living in a trench for a month with the constant possibility of death.

[-] [email protected] 58 points 2 weeks ago

This is satire right? I can't tell anymore

I kind of want to make a fake LinkedIn account just to tell these people off, but that's probably playing into their hands.

[-] [email protected] 35 points 2 weeks ago

This post is 100% serious, I checked comments and their other posts

[-] [email protected] 20 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

Go the other way with it. Shame them for not going far enough, accuse them of being soft and not grinding hard enough. Go slightly ridiculous with it.

[-] [email protected] 9 points 2 weeks ago

Won't be long for people to take that seriously and install raid sirens on corporate offices around USA or western Europe, to "ensure everyone understands the hardship of our colleagues"

[-] [email protected] 1 points 2 weeks ago

But can we mute them in the C-suite pls&thx

[-] [email protected] 9 points 2 weeks ago

You need to see the comments as many agree with him even some from Ukraine.

[-] [email protected] 6 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

I thought the same thing about 'X' a while back, so I revived an ancient unused account. It took me about 5 minutes of scrolling to decide it would be pissing in the ocean and I just permanently deleted the account instead.

Throwing his daughter under the bus like that

My daughter thinks I should spend more time with her but doesn't she realise people are being bombed in Ukraine and still show up for work?

[-] [email protected] 21 points 2 weeks ago

Probably one of those dads that thinks buying their kids things is the same as loving them.

[-] [email protected] 5 points 2 weeks ago

I mean... As someone who had neither, I would've fucking LOVED a free car or even a semester of college paid for. ... and my dad was a doctor.

I know this will sound selfish (to make it about Denmark, apologies), but that's pretty much what the Danish Prime Minister, Mette Frederiksen used as an excuse to remove one of Denmarks holidays: "The assembly lines runs 24/7 in Russia".
It feels like we're involved in perpetual war just to ensure that the improved productivity isn't paid back to workers in the form of more leisure time or pay. No, that surplus has to go to the war effort! There is a hint of 1984 to it: "We've always been at war with Eastasia.".
That's not to say I don't support Ukraine. But I am also mindful of the fact that the war is being used as a stick as well.

[-] [email protected] 10 points 2 weeks ago

So this only applies for military related jobs, right?

... right?

[-] [email protected] 8 points 2 weeks ago

The removal of the holiday? No that was for all of Denmark.

[-] [email protected] 4 points 2 weeks ago

War as an industry innovated, did some hostile takeovers. Now even your prospects of acquiring shelter for the night are considered part of war effort.

Damnit Clauswitz.

[-] [email protected] 4 points 2 weeks ago

I’ll jump on the Danish wagon and tell about our extra high power prices some days ago because Germany. France and Spain was using airconditioning so much in the evening, while the solar power production was going down with the setting sun. Don’t they know that I need to pay extra for their cool enjoyment?

[-] [email protected] 54 points 2 weeks ago

Seriously using AI generates images for this crap? On brand I guess, enjoy the grind.

[-] [email protected] 41 points 2 weeks ago
[-] [email protected] 31 points 2 weeks ago

So I looked, and of course Kickbite is just a scumbag marketing company. With 'AI'. He produces nothing of worth for all that slave driving.

[-] [email protected] 33 points 2 weeks ago

They’re fighting to be like Germany - not the other way around pal.

[-] [email protected] 29 points 2 weeks ago

Man if we could somehow find a way to make these people feel shame...

[-] [email protected] 10 points 2 weeks ago

Impossible.

The last group of the elite could be bracing against the steel door in their Hawaii superbunker while survivors of the climate apocalypse are breaching it open, and they still wouldn’t realize their wrongdoings.

They would scream, beg, berate, and lie to try to control and trick us, but we’d never get an honest emotion out of them.

[-] [email protected] 4 points 2 weeks ago

He's in marketing. There's no money in shame.

[-] [email protected] 16 points 2 weeks ago

Won't someone think of the shareholders?

[-] [email protected] 13 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

lowering the bar of acceptable enslavement is what every capitalist boss wants to do

and they want to do it from their yacht
