One of the many reasons Oprah sucks.

Nah, she seems sweet

Edit: Amazing how many images of this photo have Weinstein cropped out. I'm sure it's a coincidence

The child molester enabler Oprah Winfrey?

[-] floofloof@lemmy.ca 3 points 8 months ago

What are you referring to? I searched but didn't find anything.

[-] HikingVet@lemmy.ca 19 points 8 months ago

Behind the Bastards did a several episode series on her. Linked a couple comments up.

Oprah is a media mogul, you don't think she'd surpress bad press or distract with one of her giveaways?

I'll listen to it. I was particularly asking what the "child molester enabler" claim referred to. Maybe I'll find out by listening to several hours of podcasts, but I wondered whether there's a quicker answer.

There is more to her bad behaviour and it needs a fair bit of context.

[-] floofloof@lemmy.ca 7 points 8 months ago

I am listening to the first episode now.

[-] HikingVet@lemmy.ca 7 points 8 months ago

Well, I wish you luck on this journey.

No surprise there, the guy always has been an asshole and a medical quack

[-] capt_wolf@lemmy.world 30 points 8 months ago

The man's always been scum...

[-] HikingVet@lemmy.ca 21 points 8 months ago

Why the fuck is he there? How is he still relevant?

[-] peregrin5@lemm.ee 38 points 8 months ago* (last edited 8 months ago)

That's the point. He's not.

The TV star to irrelevant loser to rightwing darling pipeline is real.

They need some way to continue participating in the attention economy.

This is also how we got Tucker Carlson. He's a Swanson, he doesn't need to work, he needs the attention.

[-] some_guy@lemmy.sdf.org 9 points 8 months ago

I hope he doesn't get injured on live television! /s
