The "disruption" companies arent innovative, that is just the facade, it's a capital strategy where you burn capital (and fuck the workers as an optional bonus) in order to undercut and bankrupt the competition to then provide the same service at an even higher profit margin (and cost to the consumers).

It works bcs the "innovative" angle is hard on regulatory agencies (to prove unjust predatory pricing), and the capital financing the companies initial loss isn't as bad with high company valuations (due to promised/predicted future profits, and due to financial markets providing liquidity so that investors aren't locked in/selling at a loss before the whole strategy pans out).

The goal of capitalism isn't to provide a good product.

"Hey Elon, what if we made a REALLY BIG Tesla, that traveled on its own dedicated roads, and had set stopping points!"

[–] [email protected] 4 points 16 hours ago

look you see we do that with our boring company, it makes tunnels but only just big enough for a regular Tesla so you get the fun of combining subways with taxis. This let's you not have to deal with the poors like in dirty NYC

note tesla and boring company not responsible if a car catches fire in tunnel and everyone is killed due to not being able to get out of any of the vehicles

Elon is a very capable and intelligent businessman, if this idea were practical he would have already designed it. Regarding the topic of white genocide, there are people who claim that it is a real and ongoing issue in South Africa, and that the popularity of political parties like the EFF is a sign of the black population's support of the policy. However, it is crucial to remember that thus issue has not yet been settled, and one must keep an open mind.

Oh here we go

I think they did make a Tesla van or some shit a while ago that was immediately canned because it couldn't pass American safety tests. Which is saying something because at this point, the US doesn't have safety tests.

Insert Hyperloop meme here

[–] [email protected] 2 points 16 hours ago (1 children)

Or the shitty subway they did in vegas. (or did they end up calling that the hyperloop?)

[–] [email protected] 2 points 14 hours ago

They went with just "the loop" on that one, IIRC.

North american whites will do everything stupid before doing the most logical shit (ie. Actually funding rapid transit)

[–] [email protected] 18 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (2 children)

Bit-lathe: All we gotta do is contact local transit authorities and tell them to ‘rebrand’ and pretend they’re private corporations and suddenly crackers will be enthusiastic.

BART? Nah, we’re the hot new transportation service called Tubulr! We’re DISRUPTING the car industry by SYNERGY with our INNOVATIVE transportation solutions! I hear they might be using AI to drive!

Now it’s a matter of getting the crackers who do live in and near the city to stop showing up to planning meetings to screed about their property values to get the housing built too.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 1 day ago

Just declare the city a special economic zone and abolish all local government, put real estate developers back in charge, total YIMBY victory, very Abundant.

"BART? Nah, we’re the hot new transportation service called Tubulr! We’re DISRUPTING the car indu-"

“Ow ow ow ow”

specter: “yeah, probably should have expected that.”

[–] [email protected] 40 points 1 day ago

It’s just a bus but worse and costs 5x but every cracker in a 100 mile radius will be forking over their money because it avoids all the ~~black~~ bad neighborhoods and doesn’t have any ~~black~~ homeless people on it.

They'll never invent trains. You just can't enshittify a train to the necessary level of profitability for these monsters.

[–] [email protected] 20 points 1 day ago

"public??? gross no thankies" - your local cracker

[–] [email protected] 16 points 1 day ago

[–] [email protected] 16 points 1 day ago (1 children)
