Welcome to c/news! Please read the Hexbear Code of Conduct and remember... we're all comrades here.

Rules:

-- PLEASE KEEP POST TITLES INFORMATIVE --

-- Overly editorialized titles, particularly if they link to opinion pieces, may get your post removed. --

-- All posts must include a link to their source. Screenshots are fine IF you include the link in the post body. --

-- If you are citing a twitter post as news please include not just the twitter.com in your links but also nitter.net (or another Nitter instance). There is also a Firefox extension that can redirect Twitter links to a Nitter instance: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/libredirect/ or archive them as you would any other reactionary source using e.g. https://archive.today/ . Twitter screenshots still need to be sourced or they will be removed --

-- Mass tagging comm moderators across multiple posts like a broken markov chain bot will result in a comm ban--

-- Repeated consecutive posting of reactionary sources, fake news, misleading / outdated news, false alarms over ghoul deaths, and/or shitposts will result in a comm ban.--

-- Neglecting to use content warnings or NSFW when dealing with disturbing content will be removed until in compliance. Users who are consecutively reported due to failing to use content warnings or NSFW tags when commenting on or posting disturbing content will result in the user being banned. --

-- Using April 1st as an excuse to post fake headlines, like the resurrection of Kissinger while he is still fortunately dead, will result in the poster being thrown in the gamer gulag and be sentenced to play and beat trashy mobile games like 'Raid: Shadow Legends' in order to be rehabilitated back into general society. --

Kid Starver is probably the best name I've heard for him. It's magnificent, and it's really funny

[–] [email protected] 31 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Honestly all three names, Sir Kid Starver, Sir Queer Harmer and Der Keir Sturmer, are just so funny and accurate in separate ways.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 18 hours ago (1 children)

There's also Kiev Sturmer.

It's the gift that keeps on giving

[–] [email protected] 28 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Honestly they're so good no one even thinks of KKKeir SStarmer

[–] [email protected] 26 points 1 day ago

i think they use trot standard english rather than maoist in the UK

[–] [email protected] 40 points 1 day ago (2 children)

I'm a fan of Der Stürmer personally. But I do like this one too.

[–] [email protected] 39 points 1 day ago

Queer Harmer is a good one too

[–] [email protected] 26 points 1 day ago (1 children)

With the Der part it's not as easy to identify. Kid Starver is just hard enough I think

Kier Sturmer is also funny

[–] [email protected] 16 points 1 day ago

It's funnier to say Der Keir Sturmer because his title is Sir Keir Sturmer. Sir and Der rhyme etc.

[–] [email protected] 37 points 1 day ago

it is very fitting

British twitter is full of local Ukraine flag dipshits, half of them assuring each other that it must be a Russian spy pretending to be Ukrainian, the other half deciding that the suspect is a relative of "pro-Kremlin" doubt former Ukrainian president Viktor Yanukovych's former Justice Minister, Oleksander Lavrynovych, purely on the basis of sharing a surname (because naturally if you wanted to do a little covert terror you'd pick someone in your family who shared your name to do it with basically no opsec).

I wouldnt be surprised if they were pissed that Keith is trying to salvage a political legacy by throwing Ukraine to the wolves tbh

[–] [email protected] 1 points 7 hours ago

Unless he's announced something today I don't think he is though. In fact we've vowed continued support beyond and without the US and the Ukrainian military marched in our VE Day parade last week (shamefully) as an honour.

Lavrynovych

Btw this is relatively popular surname in Ukraine and Russia, comes from "lavra" that is monastery.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 17 hours ago

That's interesting. I knew it was relatively common, but didn't know about the etymology.

DEPORT ALL FOREIGN CRIMINALS*

*only if they're brown

[–] [email protected] 41 points 1 day ago

Why? Because the UKKK isn't giving them enough ammo?

Anti-war Ukrainian? Unhappy about the UK's unlimited support for continuing the war?

[–] [email protected] 12 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Have such people been vocal lately? I'm curious to see examples. We don't hear their POV much.

[–] [email protected] 19 points 1 day ago (1 children)

What has he done against Ukraine/Ukranians exactly? Are they getting deported back to Ukraine?

[–] [email protected] 22 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Not supporting the war hard enough

[–] [email protected] 11 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (3 children)

This can't be that. My bet is on anti-war Ukrainian unhappy about UK's unlimited support for continuing it.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 18 hours ago* (last edited 18 hours ago)

I bet it's the stab in the back dude, there's a lot of that rhetorics around.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 18 hours ago

A Saudi in Germany committed a terror attack recently in the same vain as ISIS' attack on a Christmas market in Berlin, for Germany not being Islamophobic enough. I wouldn't dismiss the possibility, fascists are never satisfied.

[–] [email protected] 16 points 1 day ago

We are talking about someone from the nation that was sponsoring an international kill-list that had the former Pope on there for a good while

I dunno, the UK was stringing them along with promises of tanks and bombs and possibly even troops and they haven't even managed half of half of that
