Welcome to c/electoralism! politics isn't just about voting or running for office, but this community is.

Shitposting in other comms please!

MODERATORS

put all of your election posting here so it doesn't bother anyone else!

from @[email protected]:

For Agitprop purposes, I’m asking comrades to help aggregate any and all effortpost responses, critiques, or general thoughts that you have seen or written pertaining to yesterday’s U.S. election that you think have standalone value for discussion either online or IRL.

I made a post for that purpose here, and ideally it can be used not only for general discussion, but as a reference for well thought out responses in discussions about the election to save all of us some brainpower.

No shitposts please, as we’d like to highlight some comrades’ actual effort in constructing responses or analysis, but humor is 100% welcome to help make your point!

I wonder if today means 2016 will finally start to recede in the rearview mirror because... Just kidding. 2016 will be part of storytime as long as people call themselves libs.

[–] [email protected] 25 points 6 months ago

instead of blaming party officials, libs are starting to search for which minority to scapegoat. lmao democrats won. libs are still gonna say "you can push them left" as their party uploads mein kampf into its voters brain lmao

Holy smokes they're gonna win the house too

They ate shit so hard that even if all 3rd party voters switched to Kamala she would have lost. They fucked over poor people by ending pandemic supports and lying about how great the economy was doing, and 15 million of former Biden voters stayed home.

Wait how can they already know Trump won? Didn't it take weeks to count the votes last time?

AP and ABC called PA for Trump, it's joever

[–] [email protected] 24 points 6 months ago (3 children)

There are many bad things with Trump winning, one of which is milei getting empowered. He'll be insufferable. Now I don't know if Trump will actually support him, usually "strongmen" like Trump do not share power, but he'll celebrate.

Regardless of this, we'll keep fighting from here.

I feel like I am losing my mind just sitting in this Boiler Room waiting for polls to close so at least we get a change of scenery. Campaigns are a special form of torture sometimes... and yet people keep working them.

[–] [email protected] 24 points 6 months ago (1 children)

LMAO at this video Sums up the campaign pretty succinctly.

♫ This is how we do it ♫

It’s just 2 more days (or a day and a half for me)

Still plenty of time for a gaffe to happen

[–] [email protected] 24 points 6 months ago (1 children)

I don't know what kind of gaffe could even move the needle at this point. Kamala eating a baby on stage?
