No, seriously... Somebody tell me what the fuck that thing does

[–] [email protected] 31 points 2 months ago (3 children)

My guess would be that it vibrates like a massage chair 🀷

The robots are taking over motorboating now.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 2 months ago

This truly is the bad timeline.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 2 months ago

First creative writing, then art, now this.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 months ago

We dreamed of a future when robots and computers worked for us. Instead we got a timeline where they have replaced our artists and our motorboating. Fuck.

I heard the claim that these help with saggy boobs but I cannot back that up otherwise it could be for stimulation and there are also bras that help with breastfeeding apparently

zero stars, do not buy

I bought this, and the lithium-ion battery started bulging on day 1. My boyfriend touched it and said it was really hot. I don't think these batteries are safe.

Also, Temu is a scam site.

[–] [email protected] 31 points 2 months ago

Genuinely can't tell if this an innuendo or real

[–] [email protected] 12 points 2 months ago (3 children)

for sites like temu i a few rules rule: only buy things that they cannot possibly fuck up the making of, or things you don't mind arriving broken, and never get electronics, most of them will be fire hazards

thanks to those i'm very happy with my temu purchases, i have a neat sillicione thingy that goes around my kitchen tap so i don't need to wipe water off the counter there, a metal rod that i can hang my spoons and spatchulas on, and a big mixing bowl with a plastic guard so my pancake batter stays in the bowl instead of decorating my walls. Oh and a set of calligraphy pens which is objectively poor quality but i like it either way

I believe they use slave labour though

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 months ago

yeah i learnt about it recently :( it's whack, i really liked being able to find some nice cheap trinkets. But yeah the trinkets are definitely not worth supporting slave labour (nothing is)

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

Yeah, the problem wasn't that it's cheap chinesium trash (which is the point of these sites), it's the labor practices.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 2 months ago

i have one rule: don’t use temu

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Wait until you discover aliexpress ;-)

[–] [email protected] 6 points 2 months ago (2 children)

aliexpress is firmly in my "sites like temu" list lol!

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 months ago (1 children)

True, you need to understand things like no you won't get a 4TB SSD for 25€, but they have lots and lots of mechanical and electronics that are totally OK IMO. I even have a couple of training shorts from there and basically everything except the hot-end for my homebrew 3D printer comes from there (or Alibaba before that). For example.

I get LOTS of bulk order microprocessors, LED strings, shit tons of random electronic crap for pennies compared to even Amazon. I don't mind the wait.

I would genuinely buy a bra that needed charging if it did something useful (like phase cooling / some sort of refrigeration). Not from Temu though

[–] [email protected] 14 points 2 months ago (2 children)

I unironically have to charge my back every 5 days. I do this by strapping on something that looks a bit like the love child of a fannypack[^1] and a WWE championship belt. I have a spinal cord stimulator implant for chronic lower back issues.

I don't know if they use SCS for upper back issues, or where they'd locate the battery if they did, but the idea of a charging pack built into a bra for this purpose doesn't sound absurd.

[^1] Bum bag, for you Brits

Bum bag, for you Brits

Thank you, "fanny pack" sounds like the downstairs counterpart to OP's image

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 months ago (2 children)

Fanny is also a name, not sure how common it is in the UK though. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fanny_(name)

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 months ago

It's a cute name in France

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 months ago

Everyone knows that it's an old-fashioned lady's name, but everyone knows it's other meaning more

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 months ago

That's pretty cool in concept. Glad you have a solution to an issue but sorry it was an issue in the first place.

[–] [email protected] 13 points 2 months ago

The energy is stored in the breasts?

[–] [email protected] 10 points 2 months ago

Dr Amy is not a medical doctor and should not be trusted for boob-recharging advice.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 2 months ago

i want to buy one of these but my boobs don't recharge, they use batteries :(

[–] [email protected] 8 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

Is that why boobs are no longer allowed on US flights?

[–] [email protected] 6 points 2 months ago
[–] [email protected] 6 points 2 months ago

Don’t overcharge it as it will explode

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I see Dr. Evil upgraded his Fembots to have laser beams instead of machine guns.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 months ago

He couldn't put them on the sharks so they were just gathering dust.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 months ago

Don't knock it, that thing is tits!
