I think my favorite part is Nina Power writing in private that feminist academia has made her a Nazi while publicly claiming that support for trans people is misogyny. Really laying bare the TERF-to-Nazi pipeline there. On that note, her brave defender Kathleen Stock has reacted to this reveal of her commitment to fascism by reiterating that she has her full support. All in all, it's good to see that the courts sometimes can do the right thing and that another Nazi has gone bankrupt.

Dog Day Afternoon was a good film and the story behind it even more so. The guy who held up the bank robbery really did marry a pre-op trans woman and the media smeared him as gay for it.

His wife was sent to a psyche ward for being trans and the bank robber put her in his will with enough money to pay for her surgery. As the cops drove him and the hostages to the airport where he would eventually get set up and arrested, crowds of people threw shit at the car and shouted the f-slur angrily at him.

I always appreciate when a film highlights a historical event that I either didn’t know about or had little knowledge on.

One of the shames of there being no Fallout 4 equivalent of New Vegas, is that Fallout 4 has a whole host of clean textures for clothes, furniture, buildings, trees etc. You could do the post-post-apocalypse setting of a place like Vault City from Fallout 2, unlike New Vegas where they said in dialogue the NCR had trucks but could only ever show wrecks.

Dora and the Lost City of Gold was a chore to sit through on a portable dvd player while the power was out.

It’s a fish-out-of-water story like George of the Jungle, Addams Family, and the Brady Bunch movies. Except Dora is obnoxiously meta and her Sneako-lookalike cousin Diego is now the guy who’s too cool for Dora.

I find it hard to believe that Dora ten years older would still act like a 6 year old child. It makes sense with the other movies because those characters have grown and the younger cast always accepted who they were and were still children.

And of course her arch-nemesis is a virtue-signaling feminist who goes on random rants about misogyny over the smallest things. It’s clear that she’s meant to be an “easily offended” feminist archetype.

I know the reason to make it was every fan fantasy of a “dark” and “sexy” grownup Dora existing but this isn’t even that.

So, I was walking by a bus stop where a few I dunno between 14 and 17 year old kids were waiting and an ambulance with sirens pulls up and pulls an older lady out of her car. I see one pull out a phone and while I couldn't make it out, said something to another kid who went into a stance like he was about to run towards this medical emergency and then thankfully chickened out. Whatever they were planning to film with a medical emergency as their opportunity couldn't be good and I was ready to tackle that kid if he made the slightest move towards the EMTs.

Edit: this is such a chud dad story, I know. But it put me in a bad mood to see someone pulling out their phone as a response to an ambulance and I was a shithead kid trained on jackass, I can see what it looks like when someone with a camera is daring another kid to do something terrible.
