is a character who was transgender in the japanese version of paper mario: the thousand year door but was a cis woman in the english translation because they wouldn't have gotten the rating they wanted with a major trans character. her sister was transphobic to her (as she is here by very pointedly not describing them as sisters) but in the english version she was obviously willing to call vivian her sister
so in the remake translation she is once again being very pointedly not described as a sister, so she's presumably canonically trans here
