and how many of them are literally just 2nd immigrants instead of 1st gen?

The real issue here is that they're doing a settler colonialism, this would be bad even if they were 3rd or 4th or 10th generation. Focusing on how long they've been in the region starts soundings like "blood and soil" ethnonationalism.
