I ran Nix for a few months but I went back to Arch because it just didn't feel right. My biggest issue/complaint being the whole filesystem hierarchy standard being thrown out the window, and yes I am aware of
buildFHSUserEnv, but it just feels so wrong.I 100% agree, ran Nix for a few months until I switched back to Arch. Nix was cool, and having a declarative config was great, but in the end it became too much hassle. Arch just works.
