Comrades! I wish you a happiest Halloween!

It is a most special time of year, the time for the frightening and the phantasmic! with ghoulies and ghosties are running amok! Now is when we celebrate all that goes bump in the night!

Please, as we mingle in the megathread this week, lets offer to eachother tidbits to celebrate the season. Are you planning anything big for that special night? Do you have any traditions? Special plans or fun costumes? Got a ghost story to tell us? Let us know! Just don't doxx yourself, now that would be scary.

I for one will be handing out candy to trick or treatlers before attending a theme-appropriate dance party wearing a rather scandalous interpretation of a "bookish lesbian vampire".^[Fangs, glasses, faux leather tights, corset, bdsm harness, a very butch-coded red jacket and black high heel boots.]

and if you feel the need to call every femme character in existence "gooner shit" because you see women as sex objects and are trying to disguise it under a thinly veiled "fighting misogyny" stance then i think that says infinitely more about you than whatever media you are criticizing

It's less about singular femme characters being portrayed in a a hyper feminine manner and more about the gooner obsession with reducing every fucking femme character into the same stock collection of impractical outfit tropes no matter what the context. I like 2B's design. I don't like that when I build some heavy armoured tank most RPGs jam a pair of stupid fucking globes to the front of her breast plate. I don't like how every character has to have high heels even if it makes no sense.

The appearance of a character is supposed to convey something about who they are. And too often bad character design just falls back on empty signifiers of a myopic vision of femininity in place of doing anything interesting.
