I don't understand this weird mix of "rugged individualism, but also I need a gated community" thing that Americans obsess over. Like, if you're already living somewhere remote out in the country, that is your walls, who are these walls keeping out? The immigrant labourers you "hire" to maintain and operate the damn thing?
