A parliamentarian is appointed by the majority and their opinions are advisory. So if you want to kill the $15 minimum wage increase, first you have to appoint a parliamentarian who disagrees with the $15 minimum wage and then you have to pretend like they are an expert (and not just a political appointment) and that their opinion is somehow binding.
