“But there were so many red flags,” the argument goes, pointing to the sexting, tattoo, and Reddit posts. Think about that argument for a moment: it means that people should be disqualified from public office for things there isn’t evidence they actually did, just “red flags” from which they can supposedly be divined. Ruling out anyone with Reddit post-level flaws bars millions of otherwise decent people from politics.

We're just skipping past the whole war crimes thing????

Commenting again because I was curious and started reading the comments there. Ken liked a comment of some pointing this out which idk how to take after how much he's still covering for platner.

It's Ken both admitting (?) he should have mentioned it and doing nothing to actually dk something about it in his non apologie other than that bare minimum

Acknowledging that these are important points and then just ignoring them is the yankee libs way... this comment i got defending platner lives rent-free in my head, just all "yeah all of those things are valid but I'll just ignore them and keep believing the dems can be reformed. We just need to keep working with them to get ranked choice voting and seats filled with popular representation."
