i feel like i'm healing, i finally don't understand a slop post
The acp types really really really hate lady izdihar for being a progressive muslim and for just being a woman in general. They've been targeting her a lot lately. Also they just kinda really hate anything fun tbh, they behave like Tate in terms of despising anything remotely fun.
I don't even get their gripe from this particular screenshot. She's dressed rather modestly, so they can't cry about that. They just don't like how she has white makeup?
She is openly gay and enjoys expressing herself, that's more than enough for misogynists to lose their minds

I've never seen gay used as a catch-all term to include bisexuality before, but i think that's what you're doing? Is that a normal thing to do with the word gay? I thought 'queer' more common to refer to such a case. Unless she describes herself as gay, I guess, though I would still be interested in why that specific term?
The internet does it sometimes. I've seen "Gay" used to describe straight trans people (Which felt transphobic to me, but it was a trans person doing it so what the fuck do I know) and nonbinary people in general.
The thing about being straight trans is that no matter what you society determines that what you're doing is non-conforming on both sexuality and gender. They might be "straight" but society considers it gay. In a sense it's both a reclamation of words, a statement of pride in who you are, and also an elimination of the power of the word to be used negatively against you.
Another factor is probably that at some point the straight trans person has been with gay non-trans people, and in some cases they were gay non-trans before they realised they were ever trans. So then it all just becomes a mess of semantics and they generally don't care about the terms other than being acknowledged as the gender they identify as.
In a way "gay" becomes a catchall for all things non-conforming when used this way.

In the irl queer spaces I'm in, gay and queer are used pretty much interchangeably. This is a specific irl space though, so ymmv, I don't know of it's a regionalism or what

I'm no expert on this but my understanding is both are correct terms here, and the terms are not mutually exclusive. If you're bisexual you're gay because you're capable of being into the same sex and that qualifies you to identify as gay. If you're gay and attracted to the opposite sex aswell then you're bi of course.
As heterosexuality is the default or the norm, it means it works more as something you disqualify from for not being only into the opposite sex, so you can't be straight when you're bisexual. I guess it's like how half-back people can say theyre mixed or black but usually not white if theyre noticeably not strictly racially white to others.
Confusing identity stuff basically. And as the other replies stated gay can also mean anyone LGBTQ+ in some cases.
