Jesus Christ they're all like 13-14... This is absolutely some parental neglect/abuse situation. Either that or these kids are fully brain rotted by manosphere stuff with no ability to actually process it.
Guarantee they've got Tate content in their social media activities.
The right are blaming this on "lefty" judges. If the left is guilty of anything it's the complete and total failure to provide a competing version of male self-improvement content, instead the left has completely given young boys to the right who teach them that taking what you want by force and dominating others is peak masculinity.

Providing a positive version of male self-improvement only plays into the rigid gender roles we want to abolish.
Instead of self-improvement we should promote community bonding, perhaps with emphasis on young men and boys, but ultimately inclusive of all genders, because it's exactly a lack of community that drives them into the hands of manosphere predators.
Maybe it does but I'm convinced it's better than the alternative of young boys being turned into supremacist domineering [removed]word for SA.
Even church choirs are doing more than the left to provide an alternative education, culture and community to the manosphere for 14 year old boys.

Yeah and like uh not to be like "stone me to death" but I don't think wanting to show leniency to the perpetrators here is necessarily out of "sexual assault is okay and we hate women here" and more out of "they're literally children, there is no good course of action here"
that being said holy shit they're being way too fucking lenient. 10 year restraining order? Try lifetime, what the fuck? That's not even about punishing them, it's about protecting their victims, why should it ever expire. Less than two years, three years rehab, not even in a juvenile prison? Oh my fucking god. They should be in custody in rehab at least until they're adults and then at least a few years probation after that.
I really hope i'm wrong but this is such a slap on the wrist I fully expect them to do it again if not worse
There also needs to be a major investigation into the parents and their online activity. This is definitely a case of neglect that they somehow allowed their children to get away with this multiple times and post about it online.
You do have a responsibility for your child's actions as a parent, and letting their behavior become this depraved at this young of an age is terrifying.

It’s probably both… even if it’s not traditional abuse, many parents just espouse their own beliefs without the context required for a young person to process and understand. Then the child ends up being force-fed the same ideology via YouTube from a guy whose goal is to provide context with a bias that makes it easier to adopt the ideas.

I feel like this is essentially what these grifters do to socially engineer the opinions and beliefs of their fans/followers who already have an incoherent benign version of the ideology swirling in their heads.
Yeah. I had an experience I think about all the time. Imma try to make it as short as possible.
This was years ago, maybe ~2010, and people were not as attuned to nazi stuff, and far right views were still pretty fringe. People were a bit less polarized and def less politicized.
I went to visit my friend and meet her new boyfriend. He dressed edgy, just her type. We hung out, nice guy. I'm def the type to some weed and get in long convos about philosophy, history, religion. And that's what we did.
He asked if I liked jazz and I told him I listened to a lot of Mingus, Coleman, Sun Ra, Coletrane. He asked if I'd ever listened to Mahavishnu Orchestra, I said I hadnt, and he put on Birds of Fire, which is a very good 70s rock/jazz fusion album.
Then he started telling me about the ancient Christian gnostics. He said they believed that there was an evil creator god that made the material world that did not realize he was born from another greater, a source. Jesus was the son of the actual "source" and this other, creator god, believed that he was the real god, called the Demiurge. This story stuck with me.
About a year later, my friend broke up with him because she found out he was an actual Nazi. My friend is a queer feminist, had no idea, until one of his old friends came over to their house and started talking about liebenstraum, race science, blood and soil, 14 words type shit. The story stuck with me still.
Years later, after learning a lot more about history, ancient religions, fascism, damn near everything -- I finally stumbled on some more context to his story: the gnostics hated the Hebrews. The Demiurge and the ancient man-faced- snake-god Glycon are very closely related, and the myth of the Demiurge was a way of the Gnostics discrediting the Hebrew god YHWH. Since the gnostics rejected the material world, they of course rejected the god that had created it in myth.
So that's the story of how a Nazi tried to prime me for antisemitism by tricking me into listening to white jazz and talking to me about ancient creation myths.

That’s insane… but yeah, considering how long ago this was (relatively), it makes sense how covertly he was seeding these ideas. Nowadays it’s a much dumber version of that, but still the same theme and intention. The goal is still to commandeer pre-existing ideas or interests and try to force it to be viewed through their absurd lens.
Well it doesn't help that the ideas available to commandeer often already have nationalistic, hetero/cis, white, legalist, idealist views on how things work. We also have to account for hegemony, that these views are being promoted by major media corpos, people with complaints about it are let go and replaced with Bari Weiss. It isn't just ideas in the abstract, it is material and practical. Grifters push these ideas but gradual changes in peoples lived experiences validate these new ideas. Not saying the ideas are true, but that peoples conditions are illusory as well.
Like just because it is a grift doesn't mean the conditions for it aren't ripe. Ideas can be structural, like language.

Yeah I think there's something to getting them while they're young. Its like if you can convince people of some really bad ideas for a little while, even if they change their mind there's still been some reinforcement of those ideas.
Also i think watching the same algo served content actually rewires peoples brains. Which is easier when the wiring isn't real well developed yet.
Since he was a nazi, I'm glad you and your friend dodged that bullet and he was ejected from her life. That said, nothing about what he was telling you strikes me as inherently nazi or fascist. Was he actually trying to convert you to ancient Christian gnosticism (which I think would be weird even for a nazi)? Talking about the demiurge is not a nazi dogwhistle or tactic. I mean Matt Christman is well known for expounding on the demiurge! The demiurge is fairly frequently brought up here on hexbear. As an interesting coincidence, the last TrueAnon episode discussed the demiurge.
Later revelations about this person aside, from everything you've said about the interaction itself, it just sounds like an interesting conversation you could have had just as easily with a leftist.

Yeah, but it amplifies it. Here in Brasil there was a very similar sexual assault case also done by teenagers and currently there is a huge increase in feminicide, which as far as I know have been linked to an increase manosphere and "redpill" content.
Just recently too there was a TikTok trend where a bunch of men where posting videos of them simulating proposing to someone (simulating in the sense like when you train a speech alone for example) and them simulating beating their partner, all with the caption "Training for when she says no".
Even little kids are having access to these contents. It's an anecdote but a friend of mine told me how a bunch of little kids where saying heinous shit they clearly don't even understand about his girlfriend. These kids should be eating dirt not saying shit towards women.
Some actual leftist politicians are trying to criminalize these manosphere and redpill contents and I hope it passes.

I'm sorry, am I misinterpreting you here or are you really saying manosphere content is about "self-improvement" and "looking attractive to women"? No I'm not, we use gringo for non-latine people. It can have a negative connotation when we use against the west like I did here, but it is in no way a slur.
This is an uncomfortably topic to talk about, but a lot of sex crimes against minors are committed BY minors. SkipIntro's video on Chris Hansen goes into detail about it (cw: for sexual abuse and suicide).
According to him, a lot of experts think it's mostly just that minors in this age range do have sexual desires, but lack the maturity to communicate them, understand bounties or control urges. Which is why a lot of experts say the best preventative measure is sexual education and parents being willing to discuss these uncomfortable topics with their kids.
Which is why I kinda get the judges decision of "I don't really know what to do because they're literal children", but that can't be the end. There needs to be serious investigation into why they did this and how they were allowed to get away with it.
Ideally a situation like this would help motivate societal change about how we educate and interact with young boys, and find out what circumstances the boys were put in that allowed them to develop this sort of antisocial behavior.
You don't fix the problem by saying boys will be boys, you fix it by finding out why you keep having to fucking say that.
