A place to share screenshots of Microblog posts, whether from Mastodon, tumblr, ~~Twitter~~ X, KBin, Threads or elsewhere.
Created as an evolution of White People Twitter and other tweet-capture subreddits.
RULES:

He was fired because that was the plan when Colbert was fired. They literally said he was next.
Okay but why in that way - during the taping of a show? That doesn't seem very "planned". That seems like a desperate rush.
Over the weekend would have been smoother. Hell, just about any other way would have been smoother.
They gave Colbert another year.
Someone in the administration (not Trump obviously) is smart enough to know to strike while the iron is hot. Use the Charlie Kirk killing to justify all kinds of shit that they want to do anyway while they have an angry army of supporters to shout down anyone who dares to speak up against their actions.
They were always going to declare antifa a "terrorist organization." They were always going to come after Kimmel. They were always going to put democrats on lists to be investigated. The MAGA anger over Kirk's killing just gave them the opportunity to speed up the timeline and they couldn't let it go to waste.
I still say it was about THE EPSTEIN FILES and not the nazi that the other nazi shot.
Partially yes. But I'm positive that they were looking for their own Reichstag fire and found it in the Kirk killing.
Colbert getting canned was a test. They saw they could get away with it, so now gloves are off and off Kimmel goes in one night.
Everything they do is a test to see if they can get away with something. If they do, they ratchet up to the next horrendous idea.
I don’t doubt they wanted to gauge reactions. I doubt ABC was part of that in any way.
Whether they were or weren't, they didn't try to stand up and say no. That's all the information I need.
