This is why they shouldn’t really be called “tankies” imo. “Tankie” originally referred to an apologist for Soviet aggression. These people are campists—they view the US/Western powers as uniquely evil and support any opposition power, even if a far-right oligarchy.

I might be a "campist", that could be because I live on the receiving end of the big gun that the US and the Western Powers are always pointing at us and just about anything that erodes US power gives me some breathing room. However, I am not a liberal, and she is, and there is NO coming back from that.

I'd rather be a "campist" than a fucking spineless liberal with fascistic fantasies.
