I don't think she ever cared about anti-imperialism. Also "emotional burnout" leading you to give up in the context of a genocide would be pathetic beyond pathetic for someone who gets richer and richer off of their reputation as a political commentator.
i think I have a bit of that burnout, after months of not sleeping and being and constant anxiety, I feel "normal", I'm still angry at it, still want it to end, but my brain just feels as this is normal.
and if I were to rationalize it, I might say something stupid like her.

I think a desire to empathize comes from a good place, but with a parasocial thing like this, it's mostly a detriment. She doesn't need to say anything, she's the one who keeps opening her mouth and saying stupid things. If she doesn't have the spoons ;w; then she doesn't need to say anything and, unlike you and I, she can just choose to take a break and stay in her mansion doing whatever she does for fun for a solid week. It's supposed to be her job to handle things like this, which is what she does in place of doing basically anything else but theater kid video essay stuff vocationally, and on the most relaxed schedule conceivable. If "burnout" and not wild irresponsibility is really the issue here, she should find another job that isn't about millions of people getting dogshit political opinions from her. She could very easily just pivot to a commentary more heavily focused on art criticism, but then she wouldn't be able to pose as saying something as important.

Ah, that's fair. It might help you understand the severely warped way she views things to see her lastest video, where she basically declares herself to just be a liberal, and probably also the voting one, where she accidentally does a lot more than she might have meant to to show what "being a leftist" represents to her. It really comes off like she doesn't realize that the leftists she is theoretically criticizing mostly have very different views from her old internet crank phase, which she just projects onto them under the tacit assumption that that's all the radical left thinks.
In a lot of ways, I think she demonstrates the ideological poison of vibes-based leftism and how inclined it is toward really stupid ideas and ultimately collapsing back into liberalism.
