MODERATORS
We don't need to be nice to other instances, but we need to follow their rules to maintain the standing of our own instance. Getting blacklisted for aggressive brigading would be repeating a mistake of the past
The mistake was inviting a basis for a ban, not some deontological failing of the act itself. Luckily there are mostly looser rules in that regard on most instances for now.
We have nothing to lose, the whole point of us federating was to beat lib instances into submission
It will fail if we just fragment the fediverse and get the communists segregated to a bubble
Yeah, but we're still early days. We have to be aggressive early on otherwise the libs will just win out by default.
