Is it true that lemmy.world logs info to a Discord channel? (hexbear.net)

I head one of our (beloved) admins (@[email protected] I belive) say that lemmy world logs info to discord and does other privacy violating things? If so, that's really bad. Can anyone give me the full story (and ideally evidence) to clear this up?
