Some of them are really fucking good too, not really for romance though

I wasnt looking specifically for romance, the format was more of interest

in that case may I recommend Vampire: The Masquerade โ€” Night Road and Vampire: The Masquerade โ€” Parliament of Knives

they do still have romance and it can also be good, but it's mostly about being a vampire doing vampire things in the World of Darkness setting

There's also Vampire: The Masquerade โ€” Out for Blood but it's about trying to kill a vampire mostly, I didnt like it very much honestly, the mechanics seemed too mystified for no real reason, causing you to fuck up easy skill checks and thus getting given the bad ending. It was like this when I last played anyway, maybe they fixed things emilie-shrug

I never played Vampire: The Masquerade โ€” Sins of the Sires, but it has mixed reviews on Steam fwiw

I was going through most of them having a look for twine games specifically. I wouldn't play the VNs. They do have a handful so it piqued my interest.

Most of the stuff I engage with I am more interested in how they play and romance isn't really a draw, it's fine if it has it I just don't go looking for it. That includes movies, books and games. I don't read strictly romance because I'm more interested in the world building and I like story, I am not adverse to some romance in a story if it is there.

I play games as ace because I find a lot don't do anything for me, I find a lot of systems too shallow and off putting when a lot of it feels gamified why I tend to not engage with much.

You would probably enjoy this one, if the setting is something you're into

Ride out into the Old West as a U.S. marshal in the biggest interactive novel ever made!

Tin Star is an interactive western mystery novel where your choices control the story. The game is entirely text-based--without graphics or sound effects--but powered by the vast, unstoppable power of your imagination.

It's 1,376,197 words long. You'll read 80,000 words each time you play.

Confront outlaws, find romance, defy the elements, and craft an enduring legend as you uncover a conspiracy whose deadly web stretches from San Francisco to New York City.

Last time I played as a native marshal, told the county sheriff to fuck himself, stole gold from the federal government, jailed some corporate people and rode off into the sunset after making the town a better place kitty-cri-texas

but yeah still a cop trans-sad

I mean ai liked the last girl scout which had some trot shit in it (550pages, 800odd on my reader) so I can ignore some stuff if I enjoy the setting.

I hate cops lol but I could work to fuck over the system

played as a native marshal, told the county sheriff to fuck himself, stole gold from the federal government, jailed some corporate people and rode off into the sunset

I was about to ask if you would be forced to play a white marshall but that sounds based.

You can choose your ethnicity. With racist repercussions, it is the USA after all
