Love having homegrown basil, smells so good and you can make homemade pesto and freeze some to enjoy the rest of the year
i have four different pestos in four different ice cube trays in my freezer (basil, nettle, wild garlic, mint). just pop a couple of cubes out and stir through pasta

Basil+pistachio and fresh spinach+walnut are my favorites. Tons of parm and olive oil and garlic. Rotini is probably my favorite pasta shape for a pesto sauce.
