often times 'tenderqueer' can be used by whitte queer people to sheild against their own internalised biases such as racism. "I'm just a smol uwu bean, I couldn't hurt anybody" to avoid any accountability for being racist usually. are a lot of queer people just trying to be softer in a world that treats them like shit? yes; are many trans people expressing a femminine desire in how to act? also yes. but, there's an uncomfrotable legacy in many online spaces of this softeness being used to avoid difficult internal disucssions and deflecting when shit does happen

maybe, but it's a trend/trope described with a shorthand. I've seen other descriptions like racist smol bean or something like that. all of tthem are inside baseball online phrases that are kinda obtuse unless you have spent too much time posting on tumblr or twitter dot com (god forgive you if you have)
