SA2 is the only time the Sonic games ever really approached a good viddy game story. Respect the attempt in SA1, but between the voice direction, the script and the awkwardly animated cutscenes it just does not fly.
SA2 has dogshit mocap and poor VO again, but the cutscenes have a lil flair and charm to em. It's a cute lil narrative.
