The cis can't have petplay, right? I mean that isn't allowed, yes? I don't think I've ever seen cis petplayers, like maybe they exist but surely not?
I talked about it briefly in a server once and while all of the cissies were bewildered, many different varieties of trans users came out of the woodwork to discuss 'n' bark with me abt it.
There's actually a ton of gender stereotypes around different forms of petplay, such as pup play being for cis gay men or pony play being for straight guys or kittens and bunnies being feminine. It's gotten to the point were some puppy communities have lectures and podium discussions about making the scene more trans inclusive and more open to women and nonbinary people.
I find trans communities to be more open to kink in general, to be full of furries and to have meowing as a form of stimming or low-effort socializing, i've had wonderful t4t experiences as an owner both with the most precious kittens and the very, very best puppygirl anybody could wish for, but pet play definitely isn't an exclusively trans thing, as you can see at any pride parade where the puppy block isn't prohibited from participating either by "no kink at pride" reactionaries or by the cops (the latter having happened repeatedly at German pride parades over the last years, due to Germany's problematic and ambiguous laws against masking at protests). And yes, most of these puppies are gay cis dudes, simply because pup play is so firmly established in their community.
So what i'm saying is, solidarity with all politically persecuted doggos, even the innocent ones.
Puppy play is for the trans girls actually
Who wouldn't love a cute trans girl giving you her best pleading dachshund eyes impression?
As was my impression!!!
I mean, I've seen the stereotypical dudes in bondage gear and leather masks at pride, so I get it.
But we have 100% taken it from them at this point, sorry not sorry.
β¨ KINK RECLAIMED β¨
General kink that. Nothing wrong with a bit of leather ^^
Gettin an AcidSmiley reply and reading all of this incredible insight I had previously not been privy to
I am very online and fear the caress of grass, so it surprises me to hear that various petplay types have gender associations. I'm not really surprised to hear that cishets came up with really dumb gender-stereotypical associations, though cis do better... The idea of lectures and podium discussions for kink inclusivity I find to be a stellar one, though, that slaps.
Yeah it's more my hopelessly narrow experience of primarily trans spaces online, but ngl I do like how kink-open trans communities are, and it makes sense. Prior to hexbear I met, maybe two people ever of that persuasion.
PUPPY CLASHES WITH COPS, turns out pups also say acab, rad. TIL all of this shit though, thank u for informing my dumb ass β¨
It's definitely a thing
:/
I remember watching one of those like "Real Sex" kink shows from the late 90s, and people were doing pony play. I have to imagine that if people are doing that, there's gotta be some pups, too
I also know cissies who do it (pup) as an extension of bdsm
I mean I figured this had to exist, it just struck me that I only know it as a cisnt thing and was only introduced to it by trans communities
Also I'm sorry, '"Real Sex" kink shows from the late 90s'? You what?
Lol. I don't know if things like this still exist because I haven't watched TV in decades, but back then, late at night, there were some sex focused shows that covered kink and stuff in an... Almost documentary kind of way? It would just follow people in the culture and ask them what it's all about and what kind of stuff they did.
There were also radio shows where people would call in to talk sex. Honestly, those were really helpful to demystify things, as info wasn't as readily available.
I figure things like this are less edgy these days and people can just look on the internet for whatever tickles their fancy. It was kind of nice to get a more sanitized version of this stuff tho instead of just, you know, porn.
Yeah, the one I remember in particular was the pony play because it just seemed really expensive. They had custom made riding gear for humans (saddle, blinders, feedbag, etc)., would hang out in stables and get brushed, and their partner would ride them around the farm. Wild times
I want to believe this was a cool and interesting concept but I sense that the framing might be of the gawking variety. Still might have helped my stupid ass as a kid somewhat, instead of just going on /d/ or whatever the hell.
I guess there are several potential motivations behind and variant approaches to petplay though, now I think about it...
Yeah, you're half right about the gawking. I think, by it's nature, the people who funded the shows were like "let's film some freaks" and the people watching the shows were like "let's gawk at some freaks"
HOWEVER, I remember the shows themselves being pretty respectful to the subject matter.
See I hate that, the idea that some slimy fucker thought to bankroll... basically a cringetopia/kinkshaming type television program? Suspect. I suppose long before the 'net though, if the shows themselves were solid about it then they would have served pretty well.
Yeah, I mean, it was pretty dire. People older than me literally learned it from porn mags that they had to steal and hide. I imagine that was worse.
I got super lucky and had the most goated sex ed teachers in middle school. You could legit ask them anything about sex, and they would answer.
sex
One time a kid asked her what cum tasted like, and she legit described it to the class. Can you imagine having the guts to describe that to a room full of middle schoolers?Woah that is hardcore as hell. Shouts to the kid for having the gut to ask too, lmao. I would have never asked teachers anything about sex, my mind pre-baptised with cursed shit beyond their comprehension
Baby Ashina: so what do you think of forcefem mindbreak inflation petplay?
Based teacher: Actually, Ashina, the history of that subculture goes back to...
Baby Ashina:
You'd be surprised at some of the cursed things she knows lmao Then again I've seen some shit myself
That would be based, except at that age I had no idea what forcefem even was
I learned a lot from that show as a teenager. A lot more than from porno mags, sex ed, or skinamax soft porn.
Yeah, I think they were a net positive
One of those episodes (the sex therapist having the husband slow down and caress his wife all over her body) was practically a vaccine for all the toxic sex messaging I had as a kid. I'm really grateful for that :)
Reminds me of eurotrash but I did also watch some of the risquΓ© shows that had some kink stuff in during the 90s early 00s
Then there's George Galloway on tv doing Kitty cat with some woman that was unsettling lmao
My wife, showing me the George Galloway "meow, nya~!" clip!!!
Cursed that is..
What if bear website had a kink comm where u could air goofy ass thoughts and ask stupid questions.................. I mean I kno volcel pledge but.............
Would honestly like a comm where sex could be openly discussed. A lot of people figure out they are queer through sexuality, and I feel like blocking it obscures a major part of queer identity.
I understand why we have the volcel culture, tho
i agree!
Yeah Idk, I think about this a lot too... I have two wolves, one is "awoo" and one remembers that cishet allos browse the site :/ hate to see it.
Do you think that would even be possible, feasible?
It would need to be mercilessly moderated, nothing worse than trying to have a good discussion and it turns too horny.
Idk if that would even be reasonable - a purely discussion centric kink board, no honry. Perhaps? Would be neato...
Ikr.. we've been in some places before where it has been incredibly uncomfortable.
It would be..
It's probably feasible, but I'm not sure it's worth it.
Could have a minimum account age requirement to get in. Or make the comm on request only. Make DMs related to the comm posts bannable.
Shit like that.
Or just make a totally separate instance called sexbear and let people go wild lol
Ooooh I like the request-only, no-dm's comm idea!!
I'm not theoretically against a Sexbear either, but like I personally am not gonna be in a space where allos are doing awooga 24/7 lol
