If you are looking for nu metal specifically then you can’t do better than System of a Down & Maximum the Hormone. Also check out the Italian metalcore band Destrage, they are so underrated

every genre in one i fucking love that band. goes jazzy, punk, then rap, then pure japanese bubblegum pop and then out of nowhere is the sickest breakdown you've ever heard

3/4 of System of a Down is ok, their drummer is a trumper
yeah he didn't write any of the lyrics though, and just rode the coattails of the real creative people in the band and stayed quiet until he was a boomer and the band was retired
