They never report casualties. Unless someone leaks irrefutable evidence. And even then. Not always.
You are human. You can learn. :)
It frees you to choose which leader to follow.
It's less about economics than it is about history, about understanding and communicating the problems of the people close to you. Of being organised in a party and working collectively.
It's not the easy way out, but it's the meaningful way out. Watch the videos, follow the left wing you tubers, that's a reasonable start. That's what got me intrigued. And now I'm here. :)
I think it all becomes muscle memory and people figure it out. The overstreamlining required by western users also speak about their understanding of systems. People in the west are apparently - educated to be afraid of complexity and problems.
I think super apps fill an "infrastructure" role in the app ecosystem. Almost like an OS, but collective. And as long as other people can hop into the ecosystem and participate, I can see the value. But it makes sense that the natural monopolies as messages and banking and marketplace become a single thing. Therefore, complex.
But I still like the unix motto, about doing one thing well. I wonder how extensible these designs and applications are for smaller teams working on single functionalities.
They're even more amazed to see non white people. Even more so on smaller non touristic places.
It's not about race, it's about novelty and curiosity.
I felt like a rockstar, kids highfiving me and the elderly asking to take pictures with me and my partner.
Propaganda works!
"Luke, I am your father." - Vader, Lord Darth
Pretty niche show, I'm sure none of you would know.
Correct. Fascists, nazis and other forms of organised oppression should be more afraid of us.
Sometimes we should start doing "come fight me bruh" things. The oppressed should be never alone!
My goto advice to find yourself: control your sleep, make some exercise, learn meditation, and find stuff to read. Avoid algorithmic feeds like the plague.
Once you find your center, go find community social activities (even if that's church), make a routine around them, and listen to the people, and their issues. Offer a counterpoint where it makes sense.
Organising is about being mentally and physically ready, understanding the needs of people around you, and committing to solve some of these problems.
These assume you don't have immediate shelter, food, safety needs, which doesn't sound you do. So... Hope it makes sense, good luck!
And yeah, job hunting is a numbers game. For every 1000 applications, 10 interviews, 1 offer, on a good run.
I think it's efficient to draw the line between the Jewish people and Israel, the zionist entity or whatever you want to call it.
I've written a few versions of "don't mistake the Jewish people from the fascist Israeli state". Didn't get many responses on it, which means people went to look for trouble somewhere else, in my book.
But there isn't really "educate" on the online land. It's most about occupying and disputing the space, as our sanity allows.
My partner is pretty much "apolitical".
Still, from time to time I hear strong anti capitalist rhetoric. And sometimes I get the odd "what is working class" like questions.
They won't seed revolution, but they won't repeat imperialistic rhetoric blindly. Which is good enough for the world we live in.
How do you guarantee pizza ads if the jesus ministries are pushing that sweet money around, too?
Hell, no! The world is happier without the ad industry. The Internet was run basically on pure voluntary effort, and it was great. The ads didn't make it viable, it always was.

Win-win, except that dollars are useless by themselves. The debt is better for the US than the dollars, because they can control the third country with it. With the dollars back, they lose control and get a huge influx of money which, without stuff to buy, will cause inflation.
I'm saddened by this news. 🎉
