Apparently, he's also a socialist.

Been thinking about writing a solarpunk story about a far future where humans live on this habitable Earth-like moon, but I'm wondering how the weather would work if the Earth-like moon is tidally locked to a gas giant and thus one day on the moon corresponds to a full orbit which would be like longer than an Earth week. So parts of the moon would be in night for several Earth days long, and other parts would be regularly eclipsed by the massive gas giant as well, making a sort of night.

How would the weather work in such a case? Would it freeze every night on this world? Or would winds and atmosphere still regulate temperatures?

Leftwing activism of recent decades exhibits an anarchist turn evident in quantitative indicators like mentions of anarchists in news reports and by activists adopting anarchist modes of organization, tactics, and social goals-whether or not they claim that label. The authors of this Element argue that the very crises that generated radical mobilizations since the turn of the millennium have both led activists to reject other strategies for social transformation and to see anarchist practices as appropriate to the challenges of our time. This turn is clearly apparent in the Americas and Europe, and has reverberations on an even broader transnational, perhaps global, scale. This suggests the need for research on social movements to consider anarchists and other marginalized radical traditions more fully, not just as objects of study, but as important sources of theory.

Currently, a U.S. company or citizen with plans to inject aerosols into the atmosphere is required to fill out a one-page form with the Commerce Department 10 days before they do so, thanks to a law from the 1970s that requires reporting of efforts to modify the weather.

That’s not enough, say academics and researchers who are urging the government to expand their rules governing private firms’ solar radiation modification efforts. It’s part of a broader push to regulate small-scale geoengineering experiments that are already happening.

Klee Benally was a Navajo Diné activist and indigenous anarchist.

I don't think I count but I've been trying to push the envelope on social ecology in the climate movements in the Philippines

So tempeh is soybeans or lentils fermented in tempeh starter. The soybeans or lentils get embedded in mycelium grown from tempeh starter. But is it possible to just get a whole mushroom meat slab with just all mycelium? Or does tempeh starter really need soybeans or lentils to grow?

This is Murray Bookchin's posthumous work that clearly defines his post-anarchist and post-Marxist period where he develops social ecology and libertarian municipalism. It holds up I think, but I agree with Ian McKay who said Bookchin's critiques of anarchism falls so flat that Bookchin's earlier writings during his anarchist period could be used to rebut his later post-anarchist period.

Yeah of course. They've even read Bookchin and the anarchist authors. It's not as if anarchism is the one true faith and all it will take is some enlightenment for all to come to it. Different people have different experiences and come with different conclusions. Under a different set of experiences, I could have thought Marxism-Leninism would be the logical conclusion. What makes Marxism-Leninism in the Philippines unique is that unlike Marxism-Leninism in the West, which is often anti-revisionist (and thus Stalinist), de-Stalinization forced a rethinking of principles and experimentation with new ideas. This, of course, happened in the United States as well. Angela Davis, once a staunch supporter of Soviet authoritarianism in Eastern Europe, eventually changed her mind on Marxism-Leninism after the collapse of the USSR and led a non-Leninist bloc within the CPUSA. What makes the US different is that the post-1989 wave of de-Stalinization in Western Europe saw former MLs rebrand as democratic socialists while the true faith MLs kept the ML brand. In the Philippines, the wave of de-Stalinization after the end of the dictatorship saw instead a reclaiming of the Marxist-Leninist brand while repudiating Maoism (but not Mao Zedong Thought).

Biden kept the concentration camps open. What's the difference? The entire point of the meme is imperialism, that nothing has changed since Obama's election, that no matter who wins, imperialism wins. I suppose I can't expect an Americano to understand that.

I don't like voting but I do it. I also have no illusions that it is “harm reduction” (it's not in any meaningfull way). I heavily dislike electoral politics and the brazen mediocrity of the liberal opposition, but I wouldn't burn ballot boxes or disrupt elections. What would be the point? It literally doesn't matter since individual votes don't matter.

Use MS Word to convert PDF to DOCX then use Word to convert to EPUB. This method will still result in lossy conversion. This is inevitable.

Maybe the top part can be something socially useful like a weather station and scuba school.

Man I miss the old antiwork sub. Peeps back then understood what work meant as a material condition that needs to be abolished.
