Or wet mud

Does dry mud exist? I'm pretty sure we just call that dirt xD

I wouldn't call this "Trying to steal a dog" this is somehow worse. Holy shit she sued a kid for abusing his dog that got away during one of the most devastating hurricanes to hit the US, after the murder-suicide of his parents????

We would complain about bad writing if this was in a villain's back story.

If it's not addictive then why have they said they're drug pushers in internal messages that have been subpoena'd?

What am I missing with Matrix? (herbicide.fallcounty.omg.lol)

I will be upfront with this, and say that I've never been a huge fan. But I did reinstall a Matrix server, and some clients to see if it'd gotten better in the year or so since I've last used it.

This just... Kind of feels like a more centralized XMPP with group chat folders that sort of function? The spaces feature is neat, but I've tried 4-5 clients, and every single one of those throws all of them into the same screen as the DMs by default, and I can't find a way to change that.

Am I missing something here? Like. I want to at least see what people like here, I just can't.

Roses are red

He wants us to respect him

But:

Kind of reminds me of a vegan couple I knew in college. They did a speech in class (for public speaking), and one of the points was "Even just cutting meat out one day a week, like with meatless mondays, helps a lot more than you'd expect"

Even cutting back can make a dent

They think they exist, but they do not. "Apolitical" usually just means "Fine with the status quo" which isn't apolitical, it's at bst non-confrontational. It also tends to reek of ignorance of what's actually happening around them. That's all at best, there are tons of people who use "Apolitical" to push far right agendas in spaces not centered around politics.

There's a reason the joke of "Only two races/genders/etc exist to gamers; white/male/etc, and political." You can replace gamers with any group that's (at least perceived to be) predominantly white men, and it still comes out.

To be more specific, I have a friend who pointed out a couple of features that they wanted. They're present in Immich, but I'm wondering if they're replicable in Nextcloud since I already have that installed, and Immich is giving me trouble with installation. I'll troubleshoot Immich later if it can't be replicated

The features:

  • Having a world map that has pins on it based on location EXIF data in photos
  • Preferably a UI similar to google photos on mobile besides that

Edit: Someone in the comments pointed out that Memories (something I already installed) had come a long way. Ended up finding out there's a mobile app, and it is exactly these two things.

There are a lot of opinions I'll likely have until I die, but comparatively few that I'm willing to die for.

Surgeons have to have really strong stomachs (herbicide.fallcounty.omg.lol)

Vaguely talking about unsanitary topics

Not even just for the obvious gorey stuff. Saw a video going over a case where someone's entire gut stopped working, and one of the options presented was surgically removing the blockage. Made me realize it's not just the obvious gross stuff that comes up.

It seems like a weird point to bring up. How often do y'all convert your measurements? It's not even a daily thing. If I'm measuring something, I either do it in inches, or feet, rarely yards. I've never once had to convert feet into miles, and I can't imagine I'm unique in this. When I have needed to, it's usually converting down (I.e. 1/3 of a foot), which imperial does handle better in more cases.

Like. I don't care if we switch, I do mostly use metric personally, it just seems like a weird point to be the most common pro-metric argument when it's also the one I'm least convinced by due to how metric is based off of base 10 numbering, which has so many problems with it.

Edit: After reading/responding a lot in the comments, it does seem like there's a fundamental difference in how distance is viewed in metric/imperial countries. I can't quite put my finger on how, but it seems the difference is bigger than 1 mile = 1.6km

I mean. When I had a bidet I still used paper to dry off, just less of it

I mean, I'm personally not spending a cent there until the CEO stops assuming everyone on Linux is cheating at their games, but y'know. Maybe if they slander an entire demographic of computers enough they'll bump their numbers

Oh, this is gonna have implications

Since they determined that in-game assets are real property of the player, basically every MMO is gonna need to change their ToS if they operate in the UK, because all of them that I've seen (and I've seen a lot) have something in there that "All assets are the property of $gameCompany" to stop these kinds of shenanigans. But if all it takes is being able to tie the game dollar to real dollars in a capacity officially supported by the devs... Yeah that's gonna be some lawsuits

As a reminder to everyone:

If you can afford it, you can 100% just... Buy a phone online and use it with your carrier. Make sure it's carrier unlocked, but yeah. All but one of my phones (bought in an emergency) was bought this way, and I've been through... 5 or 6? carriers and never had an issue

I both love, and hate this. Thanks.

Here's hoping they put their money where their mouth is.
