We haven’t reached the level of passwords yet because of their restrictive policies leading to users storing copies of their passwords near the computer.
We basically just have usernames with slightly more steps.

There was a time when I would’ve believed this and there was actual transparency regarding what was in those updates. They can also break your system because you are the tester. They fired all their QA long ago.
I just don’t think they command the level of trust that they wanted, but on the other hand, that’s the reason I don’t use their OS in the first place so I may not be qualified..

Let's not have another ISP situation where tons of government money is effectively funneled to those owners rather than focused on public good. This private ownership with government money makes me nervous about the long term implications.

It seems like the current management is actively trying to find new ways to make the platform worse. It’s like a long train of bad decisions that most users somehow tolerate.
