This might be technically challenging to accomplish. For example, how do you know a community is actually gone? There are certainly some ways to know positively if we are told, but we might not know about all cases. Community hosting is federated across many servers not all of which are connected at all times. I’ve seen entire instances vanish without explanation.

Visibility is another problem. Sometimes, there are multiple copies of the community hosted in different places because those instances might not be directly federated.

I’m not saying it can’t be done, but I’m not sure how often we know for sure when a community is lost, in the same way we are unsure if a friend has died if we lose contact unless there’s some other means to check on them.

If you’re not sure what the difference is between a root canal and a dental filling, I can’t imagine this possibly ending well.

I do wish the author explained a little bit more about what they actually did. It seems a little vague.

They don’t understand that the planning and setting expectations is what enables me to have fun.

I seem to recall the configuration having options that set different minimums depending on the source of audio. I’m not an expert in the settings. I kind of just tweaked them until I wasn’t seeing skips.

I do believe there’s a global minimum setting however. That might be the one you’re already using.

I think the main problem is the default settings are just not great. They are far too tight.

Have you tried increasing your latency in the pipewire configuration?

I also had audio issues like you described until I set it to a more reasonable value like 512-1024. Think the documentation refers to it as the time quantum. It would appear that on my hardware it is simply not capable of the low latency defaults.

I found school incredibly inefficient. There were subjects in which I did so well that the standard curriculum left me feeling uninspired and bored because I wasn’t being challenged enough. In other subjects, the class moved too fast and I got left behind.

Also, physical education was often neglected in secondary and post-secondary in favor of more academic subjects. Given the cardiovascular disease epidemic, I think that was a mistake. How can you have a healthy mind without a healthy body?

I really hope you’re right. There’s no point in trying to cooperate with people who are acting in bad faith. I’m not saying that’s all of them, but it certainly a good chunk.
