the problem is, its not just hexbear. on twitter you have "leftist" accounts joining hand to hand with right wing racists on attacking "identity politics". the way i like to think of it is that the white western left is similar to the israeli left. should i spend my emotional energy with the matters and discourses of the "israeli left"? id rather not.

i shouldve listened to my friend. hexbear people are white chauvinists and many of them dont even know it. why are there unironic "leftists" here complaining about "idpol".

"As someone who uses social media, I have found it to be a vital and efficient resource for reaching out to others and educating communities. However, the Internet is still largely governed by the same racist and sexist rules that structure the “real” world. One could even argue that the Internet gives white supremacy full access to black activists and their thoughts, which is perhaps one of the largest downsides of using the Internet to engage in racial justice work."

"it's becoming increasingly obvious that social media is beginning to carry out the legacy of the American dream in insidious ways that both distract us through, and perpetuate the seductions of, white supremacist capitalism."

im thinking of how few spaces there are online that are predominately poc/non western and explicitly communist/left. its a shame. but i like to believe most poc leftists are doing irl work. at least thats my personal experience. social media is a white man's kingdom

i wonder if the "left and right" would be as united as they say if the shooter in question wasn't white. it saddens me to see all this effort in social media to get this guy out of jail when there are so many innocent people in america being sent to prison or worse, executed (marcellus williams). if its really just about the act, why are they so focused on the individual like a celebrity? is it just american culture?

i rarely rarely ever post in this site at all, but i have no one where else to vent this out. but i am quite tired of this weird "christification" of luigi in online left spaces. fanart, edits, upvotes, everything. it really reminds me of how american/western centric online spaces are. people stopped talking about sinwar, literally one of the leaders of hamas fighting at the frontlines, after a week or so. it's incredibly annoying to see the absurd claims of luigi being anything like che, lenin, sinwar, or even any of the black panther leaders

Did the Mongol Empire have any long-lasting influence? Why is it discussed less than the Roman Empire, which was a significantly smaller empire? There was once a tweet that asked the same question. It is difficult to find a non-Eurocentric answer to the question, considering a majority of the internet is populated with reactionaries with an affinity for the Roman Empire as the 'greatest civilization' so to speak.
