old adventure games are also a blast and work very well, look into lucas arts and sierra online catalogues. a great starter could be sam and max or grim fandango.

you could also try N64 emulation. there's a lot of good games on it and not demanding at all.

if you need something more sandboxy, rollercoaster tycoon and transport tycoon deluxe (or opentdd for the modern open source version, has multiplayer too with mod support) are great. apart from that, old civilization games and simcity are also great.

old real time strategies are also great. command and conquer series, stronghold series, age of empires 2, age of mythology, warcraft etc etc.

basically either look into blasts from the past, or the indie scene. i recommend the former since although there's a lot of great stuff in the indie scene, it all kinda gets samey due to the same tools being used and the limited resources available pushes people into certain genres. you can't certainly beat the olden but golden ones on variety.

i like deltarune but unfortunately i always have to torture myself by having a guide open in order to extract as much dialogue and secrets as i possibly can. i understand that toby fox likes secrets and it's cool for the fandom to have these and meta stuff but personally it doesn't sit right with me, and i think it's genuinely poor design if i feel a compulsion to actively ruin the fun of the game.

also there's some slight polish issues like your custom keybinds not working on the start chapter screen. otherwise it's pretty much perfect. banger soundtrack, amazing dialogue, always keeping it fresh but never overstaying. i reserve the masterpiece title for something like disco elysium but deltarune might come close.

unfortunately i suspect that most new signatures are forged and botted. even if the initiative passes it'll probably go nowhere and the organising I've seen while valiant has been rather poor. if it wasn't for the drama it wouldn't even pass the "we'll think about it" threshold. consumer advocacy is really hard when you're up against hundreds of millions of dollars of corporate interest and admittedly the low priority of this issue outside one specific demographic. i hope it'll do something but i wouldn't count on it.
