For working out pointers I always reccomend keeping it real easy and simple at first.

Don't overthink it but also have a specific plan lol.

Start really easy, and gradually add stuff. Start so easy and clear that it'd be harder to convince yourself not to do it.

Baby steps. Find a beginner routine, lifting or running or whatever exercise sounds like something you want. You can always change it later.

The first week, couple weeks, month two months whatever, the only thing you should be concerned with isn't your results or the intensity, or whatever, but your consistency. Consistently do it, and make it a little harder every time. The workouts themselves shouldn't start becoming challenging until you're at a point where instead of thinking about your workouts as something you need to decide to do, but it's something that you do.

Do you do anything now thats just a part of your routine? Anything at a schedule time? Do you have an alarm in the morning or a set bed time at night? Or do you follow a sports team or some other media program that has scheduled events?

I'll use a waking up example:

It's never "ah geez Im not really feeling it, im just gonna pass on today." Well sometimes you might think that, lol. But you're going to do it eventually. Perhaps you did something you shouldn't have and it sucks and you're in bad form. You did it late so you might not have time to do everything you planned to do, but it's just part of what your day is.

But there's a positive side to it as well. Maybe you have really good sleep hygiene. You have you're coffee maker set to start at 650, alarm at 7. Youre prepared, its so peaceful at this time, you werent always a morning person, but you are now.

Make it feel like that. You don't have to work out, you don't want to work out. You are someone who works out.

Hopefully that's a good metaphor idk good luck!

Ah just saw this. Well referring to my other reply. Odds are pretty low that someone would go from dating a super masc or super feminine to dating a person to somewhere in the middle. If someone looks like they're into typical gender roles, and ideas, they probably are. If you want to date people outside your typical style then you're going to need to get creative.

If you want to be really lazy you can add (cooked) beans to a rice cooker and prepare it all together. Use the liquid from the can of beans + can/jar of salsa instead of water and you're all set.

It's no culinary masterpiece but it's efficient

I had a pair of boots that this happened to and i superglued/guerilla glued it a bunch and it always eventually failed. I would not reccomend it.

Try Frank's suggestion, or anything else lol, super glue is a waste of time.

Lmao bare/bear(?) with me, this is kinda long. Do you make lists? Break things down into as small parts as you need to make the individual parts seem manageable.

Also do you have consistent processes/systems in how you need to do chores/tasks? Does everything in your living space have an assigned area?

The idea is too make things as simple as possible to approach, and then to work on and then complete. You shouldn't have to reinvent a new way to do things everytime.

I'll give an example, my kitchen is messy and I need to clean it.

Looking at it is a little overwhelming because there's lots of different stuff going on. I have some leftover prep stuff from dinner I made last night. I have a bag of snacks i got as a gift. Some dishes on the counter, some in the sink. If I was to make a list it would be.

Fortunately I have a general system when tidying/cleaning. So making the list wasnt hard. I also have assigned places for where everything goes, so doing the work wasn't hard either.

It's basically, remove clutter, put things away, then clean top down. Consolidate tasks when possible. Like you don't want to wash some dishes while there's still dishes on the counter. You don't want to clean the floor before you wipe the counters or do the dishes because you might get them dirty again.

Clean Kitchen

Clear counters -Store anything perishable

  • throw away any trash -throw away any recyclables -compost any food scraps -put away any non kitchen items -put away any spices/food -put away non food item -put dishes/utensils in sink

So I literally just did the above while I was typing through this. I still need to do the dishes but it looks way better now.

It would have been harder if I didn't have a spot for everything, I know where the pepper goes, I know where I keep my snacks, I know where I keep my bags. Once I started working I didn't have to think about what to do with something.

Since I wrote that list out before to I had a plan of attack and could go back to it if necessary.

Or do you get stuck on other parts of the process?

Edit: while I'm still thinking about it. The same idea above can be blown up. If you're like ok I need to clean my place. Or I want to be productive. Walk around with your phone or piece of paper or whatever and say ok, clean kitchen, laundry, dinner, self care.

Start as macro as you need, then break down those into as smaller categories as needed. Take out the ambiguity from it. That's one of the biggest things that stops me. I don't even want to think about a task because it sounds overwhelming, or I'm thinking about a task too much, but it's too abstract or ambiguous and it stresses me out.

I heard 1337x.to is solid. I use Private internet access for my VPN. Someone told me its good once but I don't remember why or if its still true. I know I've read some VPNs were good at one point but stop being good. I have no problems, but I haven't used another one so I don't really have a comparison. I pay for the basic plan. There might be some good free ones, but the whole idea of "if somethings free, you're the product" and applying that to a privacy service was enough for me to pony up the dough.

Bring some snacks, an eyemask if you want to sleep. They're good to have too just in case wherever you're staying isn't as dark as you're used to. If you want more of the free snacks/drinks just ask.

It's good to have a portable charger as a backup, either for the plane or just traveling in general. They're cheap enough now it's worth it if you're already droping the cash on intl travel.

On the long flight they'll have lots of movies to watch, if you have plug in headphones bring those but they should have free cheapos that work.

Ear plugs are nice or headphones that are noise canceling, even if it's just mechanically they plug into your ears. Ear plugs good for travel in general see eye mask above.

Try to get up and move around occasionally on the long flight. If you're in the aisle seat great, if not take advantage when someone else in your row gets up. Even if you don't have to use the restroom at least walk around a little.

Idk if its your jam but some people like just popping a Xanax or a sleeping pill and just try to conk out for the whole thing.

Other posts advice on water bottle and predownload stuff is good advice.

Flights are generally low hassle, and the workers are usually pretty helpful, especially if you're polite. If you tell them you're a complete newbie they should be extra accommodating. Never hurts to ask if you're confused on something.

Bring a pen or two to fill out the customs paperwork.

Have fun!
