Part of my job deals with other organizations. Businesses/gov orgs/etc. I've learned that most, if not all organizations, including my own, have "rules", but tevery org alsp has at least one person who has the power to make an exception.

Depending on the org, and/or the "rule" it could be lots of people. A lot of times they'll say you can't do this, not because you can't, but because they've decided they don't want that to be a common/advertised workflow.

So sometimes it just takes communicating with a sympathetic person. They can either help you out or transfer you to someone who can.

It doesn't always work, but it's probably your best bet. If you ask someone and they say no, try a different person. If you're really motivated try a different point of contact. Like instead of chat, email or call, or instead of reaching out to tech support try a related department. If you're consistently getting stonewalled by the gatekeeper, try asking about something else, anything else, where you might get transfered to a supervisor. Then ask to supervisor to help you.

Could be a lot of work for nothing though!

Alternatively, this might be a stupid idea, but see if your old number is currently in service? Maybe you could work out a deal with a phone company or something I'm not sure how all that works. Or maybe you could text your old number and see if someone responds lol. Some people are surprisingly helpful and nice.

Fortunately my cats generally avoid my nuts but sometimes they think it's a great idea to sleep on my neck.

Plz dont.

Lol that's wack. If you're going to hit me up randomly the least you can do is send something fun to talk about.

Or get right to the point.

TLDR: Rogue Fable IV. Really impressed with its early version changes/upgrades from RFIII, which is my favorite roguelite by far. Just one person, passion project.

Highly reccomend.

Wrote this bottom part first and it started to ramble. Can't say enough good things. There's a roguelite called rogue fable 3 that ive hundreds of hours over the years before I finally was done with it. I thought it was just a great mix of challenge, variety, pace and enjoyment, while only taking 45-60 min to beat the game. There were days I binged but usually I just played the "daily challenge" and whether I won or lost it satisfied my "gaming itch".

Just a single developer doing all the work, with help from community feedback, he consistently updated the game to keep it feeling fresh, with no additional cost, for years.

Wasn't sure if I'd be interested in the new one, hard to recapture sparks, sequels often fell short, moved on with my life etc, but I started playing the prealpha version again and after lots of adjustments/testing/fiddling it just had its web release. I'm very impressed with the changes so far, new mechanics and solutions, more streamlined levels/encounters, more dynamic combat and skills.

It's free right now too so if you like games at all I'd give it a shot!

I seconded the shepherd's pie in another post but this side is always a hit and it's requested by my family every year.

Make sure your knife is sharp cutting all those sprouts is a pain otherwise

Definitely see the redwoods if you never have. Or even if you already have.

You'll get it! Try to find a longish slightly sloping downhill to practice your riding balance and turns. Something where you don't have to peddle much or at all to still go, but not too steep where you're picking up too much speed to feel comfortable with.

To practice peddling you can just try to balance on your front foot, on your board, for a bit while you're stationary. If that's too hard you can put the board on some dry grass or something so it doesn't move. If it's pretty easy try moving your push foot like your peddling. You can try moving around in random ways too while trying to keep your balance. The better you can balance on your front foot in general the easier time you'll have pushing.

If youre ever just standing around somewhere try balancing on your front foot for as long as you can. I'm literally doing it while typing this.

You can tell how comfortable someone is on a board just by how long they can go between pushes while not having to go back to two feet for balance. Does thst make sense?

There's probably better advice/tricks online, I'm all self taught and only good at the actual riding part. It was mostly on long boards too, but I bombed down big hills in a crowded city so I'm pretty comfortable on any kind of board.

Also try experimenting with loosening or tightening your trucks. Too tight makes it hard to turn, too lose and you're gonna lose your balance.

Also never ride in the rain and try your best to avoid going over any kind of puddle. It'll fuck up your bearings and there's nothing worse than shitty bearings.

Have fun!

I wish Bush could rerun for a third term! Then it'd be a win win whoever won!
