The ram, from what I see, is very much plausible. See the Framework laptops are designed to run DDR5 5600 only. Any other memory speed and you run into instability. It’s likely not that the ram itself is bad, but that the ram is he wrong speed causing a boatload of issues.

I just got my AMD Ryzen 7 version and it seems to be able to do an 8 hour day no problem.
That said, this is my second experience with a Framework. I bought an Intel Core I5 model (13th gen) for my step brother to go to University with back in June. He loves it and has absolutely no complaints for what it's worth.
My previous laptop was/is an Acer Nitro 5 from I think 2018? It has an AMD Ryzen 5 2500U, AMD Radeon RX 560X, 16GB of ram, a 256GB SSD, and a 2TB HDD. Still moving things between them. The old Acer's plastic chassis is literally held together with duct tape at this point.
The Radeon 780M iGPU on the Ryzen 7 7840U has as much power as an old RX 580 graphics card. You’ll be fine.
I have The Sims 4 installed on mine. Beware though. The Sims 4 is buggy if you play it through Steam. Do it through the EA app instead if you do. The Sims 4 is an almost 10 year old game that is poorly optimised, but is updated frequently still, and runs fairly well. Hell, there's a new expansion pack coming out next month.
Posting from my new Framework. For anyone wondering, here's my specs
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7840U (went for the Ryzen 7 not for the 8 core CPU, but for the improved iGPU)
Ram: KF556S40IBK2-32 Kingston CL40 32GB (2x16GB) kit DDR5 5600 Mhz ram (worked at speed right out of the box. no tweaking necessary)
SSD: Western Digital Black SN770 1TB (got it on sale for much less than Framework sells them for)
What I’ve gathered is you want something at 5600 mhz, otherwise there’s likely to be stability issues. The crucial 32gb kit is fine, but it has a CAS latency of 46. If you plan to do any gaming, look for CAS latency 40. Lower latency is better. That’s why I ordered a Kingston kit.
Batch 5 here. I already have mine. I would assume Framework has it well in hand and it might be an issue with international shipping
Batch 5 here. I’m in NC and yes I got charged. I already have my tracking number. And my laptop will arrive before the ram I ordered does. lol.
There nothing wrong with Android. Definitely tell us which model she has. The SE, as good as it is, does have drawbacks., notably the bezels, and battery life.
