I'd argue that battery swaps are a bit inconvenient and not the ideal solution in my opinion. I'd much rather someone find a way to charge quicker.

The only motorcycle that I know which had quick swapping abilities is the Zero FX for some years. Which is cool for taking out on the trails but these batteries are heavy man, for only like 3.6 KW, which is only like 30 miles or less for those models.

P.S: I own a Zero FX, just not the one that you could swap batteries on.

I own an electric motorcycle and I love it. I use it more than my ICE motorcycle. The one problem is still with the battery technology. Not all electric bikes have the same charging capacities and I can't think of a single one that can utilize DC fast chargers. I think its the biggest hurdle right now for electric motorcycles.

I believe mine is a surface 10 and it works fabulously. I have cachyos running on it. You just nees to follow the guide but it works really well. I think the one thing that doesn't work is the camera.

Edit: I take it back, mine is a 9 not a 10

You'd be wrong about people being aware. I've seen people jogging in 150+ AQI from fires and most people not wearing masks.

People are very blissfully unaware.

But yeah, a real survey would be a much better source of information.

I'd rather live in a forest than ever use windows again. Hope they crash and burn.

To properly answer this question one must look inwardly. To do that one should follow these steps:

  1. Stop using social media
  2. Explore your interests
  3. Support yourself financially
  4. Find a way to incorporate healthy food into your diet
  5. Exercise regularly
  6. Go out and meet people
  7. Make friends with people who will support you

Then ask yourself: 'Is looksmaxxing still relevant?'

Some anticheat works fine with Linux. I know whatever Hell Let Loose uses work fine with proton.

One is Medi-Cal. The trouble ,from my uniformed opinion, is probably having to get funding through passing a proposition or law, establishing the personnel, making all the contracts with each provider and competition from private insurance companies.

Crazy how vancded offers what premium used to be, makes no sense to buy a subscription if the paid version is a worse experience

Simple EV cars (lemmy.cafe)
submitted 2 years ago by GeneralDingus@lemmy.cafe to c/evs@lemmy.world

Does anyone think that there'll ever be a simple EV car produced for market without all the extra junk found in most electric cars? Why or why not?

I don't see the need for the infotainment dash, personal data tracking, self-driving, lack of physical buttons, and lack or reparability.

Wouldn't it be nice to have an EV that is probably cheaper without all that forced extra stuff? Can't we just have a simple EV that has an electric engine that is reliable, cheaper, and doesn't have a need for constant software updates? Maybe you can work on it in your garage for the most part for simple maintenance.

I'd really like to have an EV one day but seems like they are all super expensive, have no sense of ownership like typical cars, are constantly tracking you, and are trying to shove extra features down your throat.
