Hi, aircraft mechanic here. I don't have a lot of experience with the 787, but here's what I know based on composites, working PAX service, and general airplane BS.
787's are new-ish, but not THAT new. An airplane even a year old can start to show wear and tear depending on the carrier.
787's have composite wings, which flex a LOT. Great for performance, no so great for rigid bits like paint.
Aircraft paint is typically a two-part mixture with an epoxy resin base. It's pretty tough stuff designed to handle temperature changes, UV, abrasion, etc. That being said, paint mixed later in service for repairs might not quite match in color and texture. If the airline buys cheap paint to cut costs, well, it's going to flake off quicker.
Typically, your brushed-on paint done during overnight maintenance isn't going to last as long as the paint sprayed on in a clean, well prepared environment with even application. It's likely you will have to repaint that area.
When I worked PAX, we took extra care to keep the top of the wing painted in good condition and avoid using speed tape to temporarily cover missing paint patches unless absolutely necessary. It's well known this is a high visibility area for customers. From what I recall, the airline would respray entire areas of the aircraft as needed during heavy checks to keep the paint in good condition. Cargo service? Who cares! As long as it meets airworthiness requirements per the manufacturer, send it! Most of the time, the paint is such a poor match it sticks out like a sore thumb. I recall seeing a 747 freighter at one point that looked like it had a green, receding hairline from all the exposed primer it had running down the hump.

So, all things considered, yes, that paint job looks terrible. However, it's not going to affect the performance of the aircraft. Any exposed composite is going to get covered or painted as soon as it's spotted to help protect it and prevent further paint erosion. If anything, all those paint patches might cost the airline a few extra drops (and I do mean drops) of fuel by the end of the flight from parasitic drag.

Got addicted to swapping meat for chrome. Went cyberpsycho yet remained "high functioning". Silverhand could also be considered a high functioning cyberpsycho.

I have yet to actually beat the game, but this playthrough I decided on going with a central logistics hub and modular factories. All goods flow into and out of the hub. Blueprints for rail bridges have been essential, but modularizing the factories has really helped cut down on the complexity. Most primary manufacturing is done on site at the point of resources, and further manufacturing is being done near the hub. If I can take advantage of a resource while making higher tier goods, I will. I also have made sure to integrate a hypertube network into the rail bridges, which has really helped with getting around. I'll sometimes add "booster" sections in the runs to speed things up.

I am playing the "All The Mods 10" modpack on a server with some friends. After spending time making nice looking factories in Satisfactory, I'm attempting to walk the line between functional and aesthetically pleasing with this base. The main floor is the workshop and warehouse. The second floor is a living space, and the addition on the left is a library.

Inside, I try to keep things organized. There are a LOT of different items in ATM10, so organization is key. Thankfully, a lot of these chests can be upgraded to expand their storage capacity. The drawers are useful for massive stacks of single items.

This is where the beginning of the workshop area is at. I eventually had to expand to make room for more machines.

The main workshop area. The grids along the walls are electrical connections. The mess of pipes in the back is an automated ore processing area utilizing Mekanism. Put ores in one side, 4x the ingots come out of the other end. To hit the next tier for 6x and 8x ore multiplication, I'm going to need a lot of diamonds.

This is the main power area. Solar, geothermal, and wind energy are my main source of power. I also have a biofuel setup that converts excess crops and seeds into fuel, and then burns it for supplemental energy. Eventually, I will be able to take advantage of nuclear power, but my needs are nowhere near that point right now.

Windmills, and an overview of the base. Yay, jetpacks.

Back inside, second floor. My cozy kitchen. I currently have a good sushi making setup going. Depending on the ingredients, it can be very filling and offer some additional short-term effects (such as rapid healing, super sprint, and fire resistance).

Inside view of the library. I like to add daylighting wherever I can.

This was my starter shack, now converted into a shed. Inside is a small workspace, a little bit of storage, and access to the mineshaft. I couldn't get a decent picture since it's a little cramped, but just picture a stairway that appears to descend to the void (-64).

Also, one of my friends left the teleporter/sign. It's a convenient way to travel between our bases for when he wants to grab the occasional item, and for when I want to smother his front yard with fig trees.

This is a temporary workspace for getting started in Modern Industrialization. All of these machines are steam powered. Once I can electrify them, they will be getting moved inside. The coke oven is converting coal into coke, which is helping the blast furnace produce steel and a type of synthetic oil for producing rubber. It outputs creosote as a byproduct, which is converted into lubricant for some of the other machines. The large device on the left is a steam quarry, which is currently boring a hole past bedrock into the void to collect batches of various ores.

The back yard of the main house. Gotta have a grill space.

Fields of wheat, flax, coffee, carrots, cucumbers, wasabi, sesame, and soy. The lanes holding water also double as rice plots.

I recently installed Linux Mint Cinnamon on a laptop, and I'm having a two-sided issue. Web searches have yielded no solution. I'm also very new to Linux.

Problem 1: When alt-tabbing out of a fullscreen application (at this moment, Helldivers 2), the application will minimize, but I cannot restore it. It will appear for roughly half a second, and then re-minimize. I can hear the game still running in the background.

I have tried alt-tab, super+number, and right-click>restore. None seem to work.
I have tried disabling thumbnails for windows, no fix.
Disabling effects, no fix.

Problem 2: As a workaround for problem 1, I tried borderless fullscreen. It works, but there is a white, 1 px border around the screen. I have tried changing themes, no fix. Same thing with disabling effects. I do like the Mint-Y theme, but there's no longer an option to change window borders, from what I've researched. Again, trying a different theme didn't seem to get rid of the white border.

Please help.

I always try to keep my reviews constructive for small devs. So far, they've always appreciated the detailed feedback. I've had a few where I completely changed my reviews after they fixed my complaints and let me know about the update.

They rapidly expanded their team to quickly fix issues present with the early access release version of the game. They're still working towards 1.0, so the talks of DLC expansions will likely be for content after release. Development of new content takes a lot of time, so it's smart to plan for the future before it becomes a problem.
