I haven't been using a recipe lately, but you can make a similar taco meat with pressed tofu! Crumble it in a pan and add the right amount of oil and taco seasoning, then turn up the heat and get it just a little crispy. I also add green onions fresh garlic cilantro, adobo seasoning chili powder, etc! Chopped up pine nuts can also add a good texture!

Edit: I love Neesha from rainbow plant life's recipes!

I do appreciate your lofty conveyance of these concepts and your insight on historical context. I suppose I just tend to put sociopathy on all strangers these days. I'm not necessarily saying it's like an imperative to spread their religion, more like people generally tend to not mature or grow in their lives, but rather to justify their own behavior to themselves instead. It's relatively common, because of this, that people are subconsciously using religion to justify their own antisocial behaviors instead of improving themselves. And that inherent narcissism is the actual reason people will inject religion into every conversation and try and push it on to those around them. Maybe I'm cynical, though, and applying my anecdotal experience to more of the population than it actually fits with

So fucking irritated my dude. I know in their minds they're doing it out of a sense of trying to help other souls to find the correct path, in theory. But when you look at it from a secular point of view it literally just feels like them asserting their worldview constantly in the most smug possible way, like get fucked fr. Humans just don't know how to stop themselves from convincing everyone around them of whatever fairytale horse shit they desperately need for themselves to not fear death. I don't mind them believing whatever the hell they want, I just wish they would shut their ass about it. If it's the truth thing everyone on Earth has the same access to it and I don't need somebody constantly reminding me that what's true is true. Things that are true don't need to be constantly repeated

RN here, it's because your body has a more difficult time accessing the sugars in fruit form. They are wrapped up in multiple types of fiber which add bulk to your digestive system and serve as kind of a shield for your body to less easily access the sugar. The juice is essentially just the sugar with all the fiber strained out, has others have said this causes a situation where you can drink the calories from like 18 oranges in 45 seconds, and your body can access it immediately and easily. This is also why whole fruit is actually a good thing for diabetics because the glycemic index is actually pretty low.

Like the title says I want to install a Linux distro on my old laptop. I am currently looking into installing a SSD, but I want to learn a distro for fun! I haven't been able to find a good current resource aside from the Linux Masters here, so I am actually asking for help on the Internet! What distro is the best!?

EDIT: thanks so much everyone for your recommendations and advice! I installed a couple of different systems before deciding that I think the laptop may be able to support Fedora with KDE plasma (my favorite flavor of the installs so far) and I'm finding it really attractive and easy to use. You will see once I get some more disk space used how the performance holds up! If it runs into trouble I might switch the machine back over to mint with, that one seemed to run really well and was pretty familiar seeming from my Windows days, also seem more low end and booted a little faster. I think I might even end up switching to Linux on my desktop I had so much fun with it last night!! I really appreciate all the information and will probably be experimenting with a more lightweight build on this computer in the future! I'm a Linux user and it was easier than I ever thought! ❤️

Maybe a little lighter on the "west" side of things and a little heavier on the "weird" side of things. Nevertheless there is a lot of "western" here to justify it! This is one of my favorite graphic novels

Just thought it was funny that looking back I've used Reddit for over 10 years and I never actually paid them a dime. I feel really good about donating so much money monthly here, though, because I have so much hope for this place and a brighter future for us all in the fediverse. So glad to have a place ready to catch me when I drifted away from something I've been doing so long! Love the new home here! Let's all run off a cliff together!
