shout out to every god damned lib who thought it was """""reasonable""""" to give them an inch

[–] [email protected] 30 points 9 months ago

We all know those libs find that "reasonable" because they want them to take a mile

[–] [email protected] 28 points 9 months ago

We all owe tumblr SJWs a huge apology. They were right about everything.

[–] [email protected] 41 points 9 months ago (1 children)

Anybody who denies the fascist agenda of the US Republicans is fundamentally aiding them.

[–] [email protected] 35 points 9 months ago

Of course they are. That's why they say shit like "we need a strong republican party"

[–] [email protected] 38 points 9 months ago (3 children)

i feel like we all knew that but i guess it's nice that liberals know now

[–] [email protected] 42 points 9 months ago (1 children)

don't worry, they'll come up with new excuses in no time 💁🏼✨

[–] [email protected] 23 points 9 months ago

Libs are objectively the centrist wing of fascism

[–] [email protected] 4 points 9 months ago

Lmao liberals are going to say the fact we were exactly right (again) doesn't mean we know what's happening it just means they were right when they said we were being unfair to them (even though it turned out to be 100% accurate, again)

We always knew this, but it's so fucking depressing to hear the admission...

[–] [email protected] 15 points 9 months ago

I don't really see why, this has never been hidden even remotely. Republican chuds can't even try and hide their hatred for trans people. they don't even try. They've been banging this exact drum for decades now. I think it's disheartening when so-called "progressives" say things like this, because they've at least held the line on gay rights and receptive to pro-queer moves.

I hate these assholes so fucking much, stuff like this really makes me want to cry

What can we do? Admittedly, I don’t have a a solid answer here but to me it’s pretty clear we need to unite first. Solidarity at least among as many trans ppl as possible is key. We need to be more forgiving with each other, often in our spaces I see us fighting with venomous rage over minor issues or misunderstandings. We should save that rage for our critics and enemy’s, until then we will continue to splinter and fragment with in our community giving these fucks more and more room to grow and expand without a united opposition.

2nd dual power, we’ve placed our healthcare in the hands of our oppressors. Some of the work is being done to provide HRT and trans related healthcare independent from the capitalist for profit healthcare system. But more work needs to be done towards this goal, from production to blood testing etc.

I love each and everyone of my trans comrades regardless if I like or dislike your takes and will fight till my last breath until our human rights are immutable and universal.

Edit:spelling

What can we do?

[–] [email protected] 12 points 9 months ago (1 children)

We must do What Is To Be Done

[–] [email protected] 6 points 9 months ago (1 children)
[–] [email protected] 6 points 9 months ago

that is probably a good step at some point tbh, every party should produce propaganda

[–] [email protected] 8 points 9 months ago

2nd dual power, we’ve placed our healthcare in the hands of our oppressors.

We uses to have that. It was called the "International Workers Order". We had our own doctors, our own clinics, our own lawyers, etc. We had structural dual power being built here but had it dashed away in the red scare.

You would hope this would be a first step to get liberals on board by being able to point to it and say "see its actually exactly like how we've been telling you it is, could you stop telling us were being ridiculous and hurting your cause now"

Except in actuality it's just going to be a lecture about how actually us being right just confirms we hold unfair opinions of them and just because it turned out exactly how we said it would doesn't mean we actually have any idea about what's going on.

I hate normies! I hate normies!

[–] [email protected] 16 points 9 months ago

This is where lesser evil voting got us, but for sure this election is the most important ever. 🙄

[–] [email protected] 15 points 9 months ago

God fucking damn them. What can we mobilize against this? We need to do something to stop this and reverse the shit laws that have effectively stopped care in other states.

[–] [email protected] 13 points 9 months ago (2 children)

What do we do? What can we do?

[–] [email protected] 14 points 9 months ago

Assemble the lawyers and sue. Keep brining awareness. Ohio might be a bit tougher, but Michigan included gender and identity in their protected class laws. Michigan currently has an open lesbian who was one of the lawyers to get gay marraige rights at the Supreme Court as AG. Dana Nessel is a Democrat LIB , but she is very good on LGBTQ rights.

The chuds are abusing cherry picked psudoscience NIH articles and use phobes with degrees to publish junk the vast majority of scientists disagree with as a paper over. We need more people to come out and voice their experiences in these lawsuits and provide testimony in state houses.

Unfortunately it has come down to an expensive law fight and Republicans have become extremely efficent at cookie cutter laws which they pass from state to state to state.

Community organizing. The more queer people in a given area are close with each other and know each other, the more opportunities there will be for solidarity. I unfortunately don’t know the activist groups taking a crack at specifics but it will likely be very policy wonk-y. So if someone is good at deep dives like that, connecting them to a larger network is important.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 9 months ago (1 children)

I'm trying to build a community amongst the queer folks I know/have met with but they suck so bad at texting back. It's just the start of a meal sharing group but any ideas how to do it better/more?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 9 months ago (1 children)

I’m curious about the texting back thing. What sort of things are you texting them about?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 9 months ago (1 children)

I've made a Google sheet to organize who can make food for who, who can deliver food, etc. and all anyone needs to do is go in and fill in their info. But my text to people inviting them is left on read by about 1/2 and I don't get it

[–] [email protected] 2 points 9 months ago (1 children)

A lot of people are going to “support” your initiative in the way that people “support” football teams. And unfortunately the only thing that differentiates them from the people looking to organize with you is the follow through. They feel very similar right up until you make an ask that seems small to you and apparently it’s too big for them. I don’t blame people for this. There’s lots of of complex reasons why someone might not want to sign on and dive straight into concrete action. If you can gain momentum with the people who are responsive, people will come around and you’ll grow. For me personally, the concept of being sent a spreadsheet to make time commitments to make or deliver food for me gives me an anxious sense of, “oh shit that’s going to cost me time I don’t have”. I can work through that and do it anyway. But that’s the sort of quasi-rational thing you’re up against. It’s also a matter of relationship building. Some of these people might need to get to know you better or see some of their friends participate first.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 9 months ago

That's really good insight on it, thank you!~

[–] [email protected] 8 points 9 months ago

Absolutely disgusting and horrifying. Not surprising at all though

[–] [email protected] 8 points 9 months ago

I fucking hate everything about this. Know what the second worst part is? This shit here is going to be used as a cudgel to tell me to vote and I’m going to want to redacted-1 redacted-2 every single one that fucking dares try.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 9 months ago* (last edited 9 months ago)

Oh hey look it's exactly what we were all saying that every dumbshit liberal in existence told us we were being hyperbolic and ridiculous about.
